How does he do that?” Because that’s the key to be an effective performing artist: how do you engage the audience. It’s not just about skill and musical talent. It’s more than that. For Hua Hua, every time he performs, it’s like he opens his soul. He started learning to play instruments when he was 6, but he said music was just a subject he had to study, didn’t mean anything to him until he was 15, when he found out he could use music to express himself. And that’s what he has been doing ever since. He doesn’t try to please or impress anyone, and he doesn’t bend to any rules. He doesn’t even want to prove himself or explain his music. He wants everyone to interpret his music his or her own way. That’s why his music is so pure and free, and so expressive. That’s what I love the most about him as an artist.
I love the look on your face during this. My first time hearing him was a few days ago and this was the song I watched. I've listened to 3 now and they are all completely different. Amazing, Hua is a great composer and a great singer. His philosophy of music is that he uses his voice as music instruments if he wouldn’t fully express his feelings by using the piano,which makes his every performance unique.

Cassie Nix The song itself is scary. If it doesn't make you think of your own loneliness it will make you thought of someone you know that were lonely. It makes you feels how that person is feelings. I am a fan of someone that might've felt how he did. After listening to this song, i understand what he meant by loneliness that makes him going crazy. The feeling of cannot breath on his own that he tattoed something on him to remind himself to breath. Very scary to imagine. This is the best performance i ever seen from him.. Actually why he acted like that.. According to him, the song lyrics is similar to what he experienced. So the screaming he did is for his struggling scream bout his life. He grew up from broken home so when he was little kid, he is struggled and less of love. And the simple meaning in the song is about if you want to love me, you dont regret it. and he want to walk from light to dark. Want to show himself to other but dont know who he is.

As he stated many times, he cud care less what the mainstream think of him, or anyone for that matter. This is the best performance i ever seen from him.. Actually why he acted like that.. According to him, the song lyrics is similar to what he experienced. So the screaming he did is for his struggling scream bout his life. He grew up from broken home so when he was little kid, he is struggled and less of love. And the simple meaning in the song is about if you want to love me, you dont regret it. and he want to walk from light to dark. Want to show himself to other but dont know who he is.
I you are going to listen to more of him, you should find the videos on the channel 'Hua Chenyu English Subs' or 'The Baby Bamboo' they have the videos with english subtitles.

V OwO. Wasn't a rant at all. Read it line for line. Twice actually. If u hear more, let us know. Such a shame that he is regarded in such a fashion. As he stated many times, he cud care less what the mainstream think of him, or anyone for that matter. I guess in one respect his upbringing , or lack thereof, did teach him to have broad shoulders and tough skin. Like the "Teflon Man". Nothing touches him. Everything rolls off his back like water on a duck.
I keep forgetting that China has over a billion people, whereas Canada has about 35 million. Taking into consideration that the land mass is almost equal, (Canada being a bit bigger. ) it's hard to wrap my head around that many people living in china.
So yes I can c where there r prob a lot more "haters" than there r people who can c his genius.... I hope he is wining the battle, even if it's only one by one. Such talent shud not b smeared at, it shud b protected and nurtured. Hopefully Hua Hua has the right people protecting him, but by the sounds of it, even they r exploiting him and not looking out for his best interests
It's hard to get correct information when u don't speak the language and most of the vids we get r fr people who luv his music, not fr the haters, so we seldom hear negative reviews.
Only once did I hear something negative and u r correct, this older lady trashed him due to the fact that u cud not sign to most of his music, it was too hard core for her, not soothing etc etc. I quit listening after the first 10 seconds. ...

Hopefully he will follow GEM and do a tour in the West...Since we have been exposed to "The Singer" and other shows like that, Chinese music is becoming more mainstream. Three cheers for that.
