Michelle I just want to say, after watching one of your videos had encouraged me to workout. I was 14 year 165 girl and now I’m 158 not a lot of progress but it’s something. You may not see this but thank you. Ps. I’m still 14 and a girl.
the towels in hotels are too small for most children. They're meant to dry you off, not be worn as a wrap. Personally, I love a giant bath towel, but that's a luxury accommodation, and I'll bring my own if it matters that much.
Yes. They're supposed to do no more than what they're intended to. They're supposed to be useful, not comfortable, because you don't want to own it, as it belongs to the hotel. You wouldn't want to bring (steal) towels that don't fit you.
I remember as a kid my family would bring their own giant beach towels on vacations for this exact reason. Not because we were overly large, but because of the hotels using small towels to generally cut costs.
Watching this video all i'm thinking is "People actually use hotel towels?" I'm not a germaphobe but i always bring my own towel while traveling. That way i know exactly how clean and fresh it is. Can't always rely on hotel amenities tbh
@@vintage-red-carpetmasonic-38 lmao omg that's so gross. Fortunately the worst i ever encounter is coarse towels. I'm not about to shred my back with that torture device thank you very much
When my mother was extremely fat, she had this massive towel that she would take everywhere. She never complained about things not suiting her fat needs because she knew that this was her decision and she just had to deal with it no matter how inconvenient and painful it was. Now she’s lost 80kg and living her best life :)
Why is it that NBA and NFL players don’t complain about things that don’t fit them? Is it because they realize that their unique size is their own issue to deal with and not the rest of the world’s?
Overweight people can lose weight (at least so that they are only slightly overweight) however the NBA players etc. can't control their height and yet accept that the world won't cater to them as they are so far above average. The hypocrisy!
You want to know what a real hotel problem is? I can’t take my disabled sister to them because I can never find one with a hoyer lift and a commode. I can’t bring all of that stuff plus her wheelchair on a plane (speaking of planes they always break something on her chair), the fact that this woman can actually stay in a hotel is a blessing
My mother is severely allergic to dust and wool and general small particulate to the point of not being able to breathe. Finding a place to stay is incredibly difficult, even impossible in some places.
I’m about her size. I wouldn’t think to blame the hotel or anyone else. It’s MY fault. Why is personal responsibility do out of fashion? Why can’t anyone grow up?! By the way, I’m fixing it - 46lbs down now.
As a general rule I think wearing exposing clothing on a flight is a no-no because what if you get into an accident? Having that large of areas of your body exposed won't help you if there's a fire or if you're stranded somewhere after surviving an air crash.
The thought of the denim cutting into my crotch for hours while my bare thighs are sticking sweatily to the seat is activating my fight or flight response.
Whenever I read one of these “fatphobic” headlines, all I hear is “Even though I’m literally SO fat that I can’t fit into the average chair, I STILL don’t care enough about myself to lose any weight.” 🤦🏻♀️
Don't worry, most of us in the USA feel that way to. People are to fragile, super trigery. I think most of the population is to fat, and screams to bring us down.
By the way, if "skinny priviledge" actually existed there would be padding on all seats and my spine would not be grinding on the bare pew back at church.
In literally most countries in the world, even in those with a huge percentage of morbidly obese people (like mine), obesity is seen as what it is: a debilitating and expensive illness that will literally kill you. It's like that to the point that Japan and most European countries have LAWS (such as sugar tax) to prevent obesity, but somehow in USA obesity is brave, beautiful and healthy?!?! Sorry, but from the perspective of an immigrant, this is in another level of ridiculousness.
I couldn't agree more, looking on from another country I can only shake my head and not so secretly think that American are on another level of crazy. Like don't they have anything better to do with themselves? Is it because they have no hobbies? Guess we'll never know
In the US obesity is most definitely not seen as beautiful, it’s just that some parts of the internet have communities (body positivity) that make it seem that way. I’m first generation American and I’ve been body shamed several times (I’m only five pounds over weight). So yea, obesity is not seen as beautiful here and it’s just that our government sadly doesn’t really care enough to do anything about it :/
In Australia we also have sugar tax, they call it the war on sugar. In America you can get so many different sugary breakfast cereals that you just can't get here.
Exactly! The cheaper the hotel, the smaller and shitier the towels. I've been lucky enough to stay at some fancy fucking hotels and they have massive, plush towels!! Every motel and "affordable" hotel I've stayed in has had the thin, smaller than standard sized towels 🤷♀️ it's economics and business, nothing personal.
It's not even about buying bigger towels in the first place, it's the cost of all the extra loads of washing that would have to be done each day. They are big enough to get dried with, why not bring your own cover up. 🙄
Yeah,my body is big but because I'm tall and exercise quite a lot, developed big shoulders and overall a bigger body than most people my age,but hey you don't see me being all ridiculous complaining about a towel not fitting my torso.
Agree. I'm 5'8-5'9 girl, not extremely tall but have rather long legs compared to torso, so most pants look like long Bermuda pants. Same thing with arms, most shirts become 3/4 sleeves. You just shop around and deal with it
I don’t think Britney was crazy I think she had postpartum depression and her dad took advantage of it. He saw an opportunity to milk her for her money. If she can be strong enough to make money and pay bills for other people then she’s strong enough to be on her own and enjoy life! and the towel situation I use them to dry off that’s it, I’m not using it to wrap up in that’s what my clothes are for but I also will walk around naked to get dressed 🤷🏻♀️. But the lady is truly just having a good time and not being a Karen about it. She’s very funny.
Exactly this. She may have needed to be forced into rehab back in the days, we all saw it and maybe if she wasn`t, she could have gone worst (I can`t stop thinking about Amy Whinehose and her father postponing her rehab to make her go on tour) BUT her family most definitely took advantage of it and gone too far. It`s insane they could go along so much time. Hope she gets her freedom. she deserves to have a life.
What Britney needed at the time was therapy, support from her loved ones and an extended break from work and the paparazzi pusuit. Extended meaning "as long as it takes for her to get better". And clearly her family has a different idea of "support" than me. I still can't believe that people can be placed under conservatorship so easily just for going through hard times and not being able to deal with their situation for a time.
R83145 It’s only a little harder than it was in the 40s-50s when all it would take is the man of the house to say “she’s crazy”. No evidence, no doctor recommendation. Only back then he would’ve just lobotomized her so he wouldn’t have to deal with this pesky problem of her wanting her freedom back lol
I said this since the beginning, She had 2 babies back to back and I think she had postpartum depression after the first baby’s birth and got pregnant quickly after (her boys were born just under a year apart) and she had postpartum depression after the second birth plus all of the paparazzi chasing her and harassing her constantly And she just snapped and had a breakdown, and her a$$hole father took full advantage and tried to ruin her just to get to her money! She’s obviously fully capable of taking care of herself but her father and family are just too money hungry to care about Britney’s well-being! I was so disgusted when she said they forced her to get an IUD implant for birth control and she can’t even get married or have more kids!
I live in Japan, and my students laughed at me when I said Americans like "low-fat" food (talking about frozen yogurt). They didn't say it, but I could see it in their faces that "that's impossible because Americans are BIG" So yeah. That's what they think of us here.
@@Alex-ez4sq also with the fact that most Americans don't know when to stop eating. Instead of two small scoops of ice cream most of us fill a whole bowl. If we ate the serving size we might not have this problem.

No doubt. Thats a huge issue with schools rn. Teachers cant keep personal views out of the classroom. So its almost guaranteed shes forcing her views on the kids
I work at a Hotel. Towels come in a standard size per 12 or 24 count. 'Deluxe' towels (big size) cost a huge amount per 12 or 24 count. Most hotels, mine included, put standard in the rooms because people are gross and ruin a 20$ towel as easy as a 7$ towel
I worked in a hotel for a summer- I actually ask for any cast off or stained but clean towels for my room. I colour my hair often and the colours bleed and I hate ruining a white towel or a pillow case after I shower just cause of my hair.
I'm sure that's not even including accidentally getting lady blood on the towels and wash clothes during your period. I've done that a couple times and I always feel really bad. It just costs too much to account for these things so they're not going to buy xxxxL towels to accommodate part of society who is fat at their own choice(for the most part)
Same here! It's been a rough year and I've been drying myself with a washcloth, paper towels (if I have them) or other clothes. Yet, I am still well-aware that I am more privileged than many in this world due to the fact that I even have a roof and a shower. The f*ck is wrong with people?!
I literally had $3 leftover from my last paycheck, and this woman wants to complain about hotel towels, which will always be tiny??? First world problems, I guess. 🙄🙄🙄
I remember the first time a towel wrapped around me fully. it was one of the moments where i realized i was actually losing weight and changing my body for the better. currently 80lbs down and look good AF in a towel.
I Know that feeling by experience and I'll agree is a great way to look back and know that now we are and feel healthier 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 kudos to you hun 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
So, I totally get the “being positive” or “loving the skin your in” sentiment because it’s literally your body and you should feel comfortable with it. However, being comfortable with your own body, and loving your own body doesn’t mean you can never change it. That’s where the current body positivity movement goes off the freaking rails. Losing weight or wanting to lose weight doesn’t mean you hate yourself or your body!
I agree! have never understood how “loving your body” is somehow in contrast with taking care of it. You would think if a person really loves their body, they would want to properly nourish it and keep it in good working condition.
It's the fear of accepting reality I think. If you are overweight or obese, telling yourself that you're perfect the way you are, and that everybody else is just "fat-phobic," you can continue to deny the reality that there IS something wrong. I also think it's a fear of failure, too. If you do acknowledge the issue and decide to do something about it, you might realize that it can be really hard. And that can make people feel that they're weak. That's why I think a good support system is important. We are human and we are fallible, and sometimes we will fail. But that's ok, cause you get back on the horse and try again. If we never failed or made mistakes we'd never change, we'd never better ourselves. I'm afraid that the body positive movement has almost become like a cult, where everyone conforms to the same idea. And that enables everyone to keep denying reality and to keep lying to each other.
THIS!! My sister literally accused me of trying to have an ed and hating my body just because I said oh I ate too much today and now I feel sick (I've talked to my doctor about my eating habits and she knows nothing of that conversation)
Fat, skinny, or fit, ppl will ALWAYS find something to complain about. It's the whole "it's all about me!" issue that everyone's going through. The entitlement is strong with this one
Exactly! I'm in a wheelchair, I don't throw an enormous fit over a place not being handicap accessible and by law they're supposed to be, but I refuse to be like this and whine about everything. There are bigger issues in my life to deal with to have time to complain like these ppl. I'm sure the majority of ppl will agree w that lol
I can't even bring myself to buy the huge towels they sell in Target and whatnot because of the price, I'm sure as hell not expecting a company that has to buy thousands to do it
I've been using bath sheets (aka, the giant towels) for majority of my life actually. That's all my grandmother in England had and they were wonderful, so I brought one home with me. Now I have a few that I got from LLBean. THEY ARE WORTH THE MONEY! (But of course, buy quality, I can't speak for whatever Target has). I'm so use to giant towels that when I use a standard towel I feel like I might as well be using a hand towel it feels so small. (And i'm a 5'7, 140lb woman, i'm not huge!) But it's so nice to just wrap yourself up when you come out of a warm shower into a cold bathroom.
Bed Bath and Beyond has a nice selection of bath sheets (the proper term for those large towels) that are very frequently on sale. So, so worth the price.
Just to add to the"how do other countries see us?" question; I have a friend who was asked by someone in the Philippines if all our animals/livestock were also "obese like the people"
I weigh 230 lbs but I try to get regular excercize by walking 1 mile per day and 30 minutes of body weight stretches. I am also trying to control my portions Monday Through Saturday. I only allow myself to eat like a pig on Sundays.
They already say women in media are "unrealistic and unobtainable" when there are TONS of thin, petite fit slender or whatever women in the world. According to fat positive Facebook groups they already are! You could also scroll through the "thin privilege" tag on Tumblr for extra lols amd cognitive dissonance
It’s just odd to me that things being too small is somehow a societal issue instead of a personal issue. It’s like complaining about how small parking spots are while trying to park an F250 Super Duty XL.
Yes we need bigger towels in hotels. It's long hair discrimination. I can barely wrap my whole hair without the ends dripping everywhere with a full body towel >:(((( /s
So Britney Spears can perform on a demanding schedule like a circus animal, but can't be trusted to take care of herself? I'll take, "controlling and greedy daddy who abuses his child for money" for $500 please.

It’s either her dads greedy or she really has some issues that the public doesn’t know about.
Here in France "american" anything means the thing is enormous. Typically: wow you said you wanted a little ice cream but this is an American! Or more commonly: I have to take an American dump, do you want to use the bathroom before?
It's the same in most Asian countries... When someone says that something is American size, we understand it automatically as a a big serving, usually enough to be shared between 2 people

@@cheekybabe666 to be fair, most hotel towels are small even for a normally sized person. I don't know why companies, who provide laundry to hotel, have made it a standard, but they are at best suited simply to dry your body and not wrap it around.
So if hotels don't have a 5 star gym and Olympic track included, are they Fitphobic? Maybe they need better treadmills to accommodate faster people. Maybe 12 mph is too slow, they need to stop limiting people. SMH, this is ridiculous.
Everyone should know that hotel towels are too small for anyone over the age of 12. I thought this was common knowledge? At the same time, when I was watching the lady wrap the towel around her my reaction was "damn, that's a big hotel towel..."Also, hotel bathrooms are usually larger than most apartments so i'm really curious as to where she lives....
On a similar topic to towel lady, it cracks me up when I see someone complaining about clothing companies being fat phonic because the XXL costs more than the XS. The conservatorship Britney is in is meant for people in a vegetative state. How is a Popstar touring the world conceptioning another album and a Vegas Residency while on tour less capable of choosing a lawyer than an alcoholic? It is beyond me. She said she wants to continue therapy but failing to build the family she always dreamt of will not be the main focus anymore.
@Anne Day people who are spiritual or religious are not in a vegetative state and their beliefs are not equal to their abilities. She shouldn’t be oppressed because of her beliefs
@Anne Day it was heavily implied that you were saying that because she only believes in PrAyEr it affects her ability to not be in a conservatorship. Sorry if I took the wrong meaning from your comment but even now I struggle to see what you now say you meant. Perhaps be more careful with how you word things. The spelling of “PrAyEr” in such a way also implied that you think it’s stupid and that you’re making fun of her/making fun of praying. so again, be careful about the way you out things, it can be easily misconstrued by idiots like me lol. Apologies
@Anne Day lol I said I misconstrued it and apologised. I pointed to the specific things you said that implied it. “Saying I agree but” is like saying I agree but I don’t. It was just heavily implied despite what you said at the beginning and because you coupled what you said in the beginning with ‘but’. That could even be read as sarcastic. Again, sorry for the misinterpretation.
@Anne Day honestly that is pedantic, I’ve explained why I inferred the wrong thing accepting that I was wrong. I’ve explained the ways it could be misinterpreted because of the way it was written regardless of your intention. I’m sorry that this has caused you so much distress. You clearly think I fought you past the point where you clarified. All I was doing explaining why/what I misunderstood. You didn’t ever acknowledge my apology which suggests that you ignored my intention and simply wanted to fight back rather than have a dialogue or accept one. Clearly it’s a regular human error and not something to bash people for when they apologise.
Yeah, she won't want to go to Japan. I'm considered pretty small by American standards (size 2-4), but am considered chubby by Japanese standards and have to shop in the large size sections. My Japanese mother would blame my American genes for any fatness she thought I had.
My friend went to Japan and she said a shop owner patted her stomach and told her she'd need a 3x. She's a size 12, so maybe a large in the US. Thankfully my friend is self aware about being overweight and she laughed it off Edit: she bought the 3x shirt
True! In India, I have to getting "bigger" clothes sometimes, like my pants especially, asian brands tend to cater to smaller physiques because most people are built that way. Those people don't realize how inclusive america is!
I had no idea, I wonder what section I'd fit in? I'm 5'11 with a thin build but wide hips so I wear a size 8-10 in shorts, but often a small in tops and a medium in dresses. Size 11 in shoes...My sizing is a mess lol

5:42 You have such a point. A person with a fit, ideal body who loves their body and chooses to show it off is ALWAYS viewed as “conceited” even if they WORK HARD FOR THEIR BODY!! But a fat person who shows off their body is “body positive” and “brave”.

I was recently "fatphobic" for pointing out a bigger person unnecessarily used the accessible ("bigger") stall that my disabled partner needed to use when there were tons of regular stalls available... Not even surprised towels are fatphobic now too...
How did you know that person doesn't have a disability though? I've known epileptics who need to use the larger stalls as there is less danger of them hurting themselves in the event of a seizure. Plus there are thousands of people who need the handrail due to arthritis, poor balance and various other issues who might not "look" disabled to you. Heck, even if they just had very poor mobility due to being severely obese, that's no different than a person who uses a wheelchair due to a car accident that was their own fault.
like the comment above me said, there are a lot of invisible disabilities and you can't assume someone isn't disabled just because they don't "look" like it. them calling you fatphobic is gross tho
@Mani Bear💋 disabled stalls are not only for visibly disabled people. People with colostomy bags need the sink inside the stall to privately empty and clean themselves. People with incontinence need room to change their diapers. People need aides to help them, so they need the bigger bathroom. Etc etc. Not just for wheelchair users
I think they don't have any disability. If they had they would explain that to you other than screaming fat phobic. I have invisible disability. Can't walk more than 10 minutes.
I love your matter of fact videos. Your use of the words morbidly obese repeatedly must have sunk into my mind. I want to thank you for being straightforward without being cruel. I've begun exercise and changed my eating habits and dropped 17 pounds since actually listening to you speak the way you do. Thanks! Some of us fat people do hear you without hating what you're saying.
Im fat, but I’m disabled and I’m more offended by a lack of accessibility in a lot of hotels than I am about towels. I’m fat but the real problem is when I have to wait until people come out of the handicap stall to even get my wheelchair in…Body positivity has totally forgotten disabled people. Seems like they’ve ‘Karened’ it.
I have the same issue, it’s irritating how these people who can move how they want take it for granted and hurt themselves this way. I’d love to move and such but physically can’t due to nerve damage. Especially for elevators and store mobility scooters. It’s annoying the body positivity was for us (wheelchair, tumors, stretch marks, etc) are used as an excuse for their addiction.
You are absolutely right. Now that I think about it, it would be extremely hard to push a wheelchair through hotel rooms. They should fix that I'll spread the word
That's because obese women have joined the opressed olympics. The problem is they want the gold medal but can't win when it comes to people that have actual problems they can't possibly change even tho they wish they could. Especially people born with bad health problems. So the only solution for them is to kick you out of your own movements and make it all about themselves! Because that's what narcisist with a victim mentality do best!
Hotel Housekeeper here. Hotel towels are small even for normal people, mostly because they've been bleached/washed dozens of times over, yunno, since the entire hotel uses towels? So they often shrink? And if you think about it they're kinda gross too since they've been on so many different people's bodies, so it's very weird to get mad about not being able to use them lol. I'd recommend bringing your own, fat or not.
Or what if you just wanted a small slice of cake? Example: I had a nice dinner and I only want to indulge in a few bites of cake. To be fair we would like to walk more but usually walking around is dangerous and/or most places are set up to where you have to drive to get to them. Unless you want to walk for miles and carry groceries for miles. My closest grocery store is at least three miles away. I don’t buy every day so I bulk buy my groceries. I wonder what the body positive movement thinks of the movie WALL-E. Does the rocket ship moving throughout space with a bunch of obese people not scare them ?
Me: It's not ok to lump all Americans in the "unhealthy and obese" stereotype Americans: You know what we should do? Make unhealthy and obese the new beauty standard! Me:... You make it very hard to defend you That extreme body positivity movement is very USA-centre and it makes me sad at how spoiled it makes Americans look. USA already doesn't have a good image with the rest of the world, that misguided "move because that's how I am" just makes it look worse
I'm an American (not proud of it) and I see all this stuff on social media like this is our normal lives. But I've never seen any of this fat acceptance or alot of the other crazy stuff in person. And I'm around hundreds of people everyday and have yet to meet someone like this. Don't get me wrong probably 50 percent of or population could stand to lose weight but everyone I know is always trying to diet and exercise
Ya there’s a reason Americans dress as Canadians with Canadian flags n all to avoid the distain they get lol It’s hard to defend a country that likes to use other countries, like to its people and takes pride in not knowing health and how to have it despite having “amazing” doctors. It’s an epidemic of obesity and the “pride” people have to make the epidemic a beauty standard to avoid the words “you need to think about your health” People are sad. Think of it…”the best country” (apparently) can’t even have its citizens run for help in the moment of emergency. Put Asian and Africa with Americans and create a panicked situations where you have to get away fast. Guess what countries gonna be last and *itching about being “a**sed” verbally for not keeping up with the other people…because they unhealthy n fat.
I think the original message was to accept people of all sizes and that just because they are larger doesn't mean they are ugly. They are still people and still have beauty about them. But people will overlook any good qualities and be mean to them. There are even video studies proving that people were isolating them and not treating them like they do everyone else. It was disgusting behavior & something the usa was trying to make a positive change in. However, it's now being turned into something different where it almost seems to be encouraging of obesity. There is a fine line between accepting people and treating them with respect no matter the size vs saying there is nothing wrong with being obese and that we should embrace the lifestyle.
I for one am proud to be American, but I am not proud of everything that goes on here. Many Americans don't realize how privileged we are here. Everything seems to be revolved about money these days instead of doing the right thing. Because of our privilege, people are more sensitive than ever these days. It can and sometimes is used for good, even though all the bs this country has done, many of us try and do succeed on making positive changes. How I view it is before things get better, it's gonna keep getting worse while we work out these kinks. I've been all around the world and I do very much so enjoy living here. I never think we are above all countries as an American. I like that we don't all listen and follow everything that the government says like North Korea. We can speak our minds and even when it's tough, even if there are arguments, most of us are doing this to try to get to the bottom of things and have discussions that will further help our understanding of one another. I for one have learned a lot in the past few years. I think most people are good (not perfect) but the bad ones sure do stand out way more and sound louder than the rest of us which is very unfortunate.
As someone who does housekeeping for hotels, it would take so much longer because I’d have to make more trips to carry towels twice as big. We already spend so much money already on laundry.
Like imagine if that flight had a, "Is there a doctor on board," moment, and then remembered they wouldn't let the doctor on the plane because of HER OUTFIT.
This made me remember Dr. Bikini (The title of an episode of untold story of the ER) and the dude was hit by a motor boat and had some life treathening damage, but still cracked joked and called her doctor bikini all the way (She was employed to be an on stay doctor on a tropical island, hence the bikini) The dude survived! Just a little story because it made me think of it, bikini or not, the women is a doctor and can save your life.
The airline thing is infuriating and ridiculous. People show up in pajama pants, ugg boots and messy buns, literally looking like they rolled out if bed, completely disinterested in being put together to be around in public but it's only inappropriate if you see too much of a woman's body??? Someones body is "offensive"? I would be so pissed. The only reason I would recommend someone cover up in a plane is because it gets dang cold.
As a tall person, the hotel towels are also too small for me. I can't walk around in one because my whole ass would be out. I think they are too small for everyone. I usually bring my own giant beach towel because it's more comfortable and I find that there is so much bleachhhh in those hotel towels and they're rough af because they wash them constantly.
Yep. The hotels all buy the smaller cheaper towels, probably because people regularly ruin or steal them. I'm a size 6 and they still don't cover me. Yet do I get mad about it? No.
@@vintage-red-carpetmasonic-38 lol I just imagine that immature people probably steal them. And they probably get people ruining them on a regular basis by doing things like dying their hair in the hotel room
I think the first lady would actually have a point if she was actually “plus size” rather than morbidly obese. Obviously they won’t put bariatric chairs in every hotel balcony
When I was on plane to Mexico from New York there were so many people complaining about have to pay for 2 seats because their fat selves took up an entire row of seats. I was forced to move seats because the person I was sitting next to took up 3 seats. The only plus side is I got to ride first class instead of economy for free.
My plus size big hipped self has NEVER complained about the size of towels...yes maybe towels should be bigger but they arent to wrap around you...dry off and get dressed thats why some have robes. If I had an issue I would bring my big ass beach towel lol
When I fly, I’m honestly so focused on getting on the plane, comfy in my seat, texting family I love them, etc., I don’t even notice what other people are wearing. It really doesn’t matter.
Aren't hotel towels tiny anyways, regardless of weight? Though I always found them short the other way( will hardly cover legs, not fit around my waist)
They always seem like glorified hand towels to me. I'm 5'3" and 125lbs and I usually can't wrap them around myself. I also usually have trouble drying my hair but my hair is very long.
In Japan the obesity rate is so low, the only very big people I see is sumo wrestlers, and yet they are still very muscular and eat healthy foods. But some of these women are starting to look as big as sumo wresters Im so concerned that Americans think that that's ok.
If the towels and toilets are fat phobic, then our hospital beds that can hold up to 500 lbs are also fatphobic for people who break them...... I just found your channel randomly! I love your personality. Please never change!
It's also a privilege to have a life where you have so much abundance that you become obese. Perhaps skinny people aren't so privileged when they are skinny because they dont eat much and work three jobs.
I’ve also been thinking about something similar, because on the one hand some ppl can’t afford enough food, but on the other gym and vegetables may cost way more. Buuut again; several takeout and sweets and chips and snack in general are also costly 🤔 plus u may also exercise inside of ur home or just go for a walk/ nice jogging… So I think u r right; in general ppl like to use to world racist/ privilege soooo much these days so it’s gettin almost boring
I agree, in struggling communities in southern Africa we don't have an obesity problem. If you have enough food to be and stay that big, you are privileged.
@@nottoday5576 plant foods are not expensive. Canned and frozen veggies are cheap. Dried fruit is cheap. Canned beans of all kinds are like 50cents a can and each can has like 3 1/2 servings. Buying bulk bags of various whole grains are cheap. You have to overeat to be fat which means you're spending more. Being obese is arguably a privilege. Edit: and yes, exercise is free.
I haven't watch the whole video yet, but I have to say that I used to weigh 225 lbs, I got down to 145 over the course of a year or so. Being able to wrap the towels they provide at my gym all the way around my body was actually a HUGE milestone for me! I was so damn proud of myself :)
I’m Japanese but living in America for many years now and IM SORRY BUT THETES SO MANY STRANGE THINGS HERE I actually got excited with my mother about how big the hotel towels are 😭 maybe it was just where we stayed but I’m so confused
I'm a big girl... I don't expect towels to wrap me up and cover all my bits. Its a towel, not a dress. I hate how so many overweight people complain about how inconvenient life as a fat person is. I made me fat, its no one else's responsibility to cater to me because I'm ridiculously large. People need to grow up. I'm trying my best to lose the weight and I can't wait until the day I'm not a member of the plus size community. I DONT belive in health at every size or fat positivity. I have type 2 diabetes and pcos because of my weight. There is nothing healthy about that. I also don't find my body beautiful. Apparently that makes me a villain I guess. Wow.. what an unnecessarily long rant, lol, sorry about that.

the towels in hotels are too small for most children.
Not because we were overly large, but because of the hotels using small towels to generally cut costs.
they also give you multiple towels so a big towel is not necessary.
Watching this video all i'm thinking is "People actually use hotel towels?" I'm not a germaphobe but i always bring my own towel while traveling. That way i know exactly how clean and fresh it is. Can't always rely on hotel amenities tbh

Why is it that NBA and NFL players don’t complain about things that don’t fit them? Is it because they realize that their unique size is their own issue to deal with and not the rest of the world’s?

Wearing Jean shorts is a nightmare regardless😂if their on their uncomfy
As a general rule I think wearing exposing clothing on a flight is a no-no because what if you get into an accident? Having that large of areas of your body exposed won't help you if there's a fire or if you're stranded somewhere after surviving an air crash.
The thought of the denim cutting into my crotch for hours while my bare thighs are sticking sweatily to the seat is activating my fight or flight response.

Guess we'll never know
As an American, I agree.
In the US obesity is most definitely not seen as beautiful, it’s just that some parts of the internet have communities (body positivity) that make it seem that way. I’m first generation American and I’ve been body shamed several times (I’m only five pounds over weight). So yea, obesity is not seen as beautiful here and it’s just that our government sadly doesn’t really care enough to do anything about it :/
@@rowenathomas72 we definitely have things to do haha not all of us act that way

Yeah but these people are so self centered they dont even think about that...
Ima size 0 and still hate hotel towels lol
A towel is tro dry yourself off, the robe is to wear.
It's not even about buying bigger towels in the first place, it's the cost of all the extra loads of washing that would have to be done each day. They are big enough to get dried with, why not bring your own cover up. 🙄
there’s a difference between having a bigger body and then being obese.

This! She needed love and understanding but her family just saw $$$$$
They didn't say it, but I could see it in their faces that "that's impossible because Americans are BIG"

I colour my hair often and the colours bleed and I hate ruining a white towel or a pillow case after I shower just cause of my hair.
That fact that this woman is a teacher 😬
I'm sure that's not even including accidentally getting lady blood on the towels and wash clothes during your period. I've done that a couple times and I always feel really bad.
Right? If it's that much of a problem, just pack your own......

Buying bulk bags of various whole grains are cheap. You have to overeat to be fat which means you're spending more. Being obese is arguably a privilege.
Edit: and yes, exercise is free.
@@nottoday5576 it costs way more to eat out every day than to buy groceries and get up and cook
I haven't watch the whole video yet, but I have to say that I used to weigh 225 lbs, I got down to 145 over the course of a year or so. Being able to wrap the towels they provide at my gym all the way around my body was actually a HUGE milestone for me! I was so damn proud of myself :)
Congratulations!!!
You go Tina!
Aw, thanks guys!!
I hope you get to your ideal weight. Good luck on your journey. 🎊🎊
@@crissoa Thanks so much!
In the past, I’ve used two towels when one is too small for me and then just politely asked room service to bring more. Problem solved.
As a foreign I have to say that unfortunately most people have this image of Americans. I understand that there's dumb people everywhere but the world is like naaaah just Americans live like that and think it's ok
noooooooooooooo i wanted to go to italy on my birthday and get a boo thing for a min chile-
Ugh… that’s what I’m afraid of when I travel that people from other countries will just think I’m a glutton because I’m an American. 😫
@@equestrianwhotravels Yup, stereotype is like "fat and stupid" lol but don't worry! Stereotypes are just stereotypes, Italy will welcome you with no problems lol
NO GIRL, NO! I’m a teacher, I will NEVER preach this nonsense!
I weigh 230 lbs and I never preach this. I try to follow a strict 1 mile walk and 30 minutes of body weight stretches per day. I am also trying to do portion control Monday through Friday.
Neither does my husband who is a high school teacher
Good job
as a high schooler a lot of teachers try to preach stuff like this now, thanks for being one of the good ones
@@rustyrelicsfarm2406 Good for you, but be careful on the weekends. You can easily undo all your progress for the week.
Soooo… They literally would rather you waste food by taking a ‘normal’ size piece of cake and not finish it than you *attack* them by your lack of hunger or desire for the cake and asking for how much you intend to finish. Take several seats ✌🏼
Looks like we adding towels to the cancel list.
🤣 😆 😂
And toilet seats
@@katha4371 of course can't forget
Let’s air-dry in protest!
Why did I just have an awkward vision of this woman in a Japanese capsule hotel? And not being able to extricate herself.
I’ve worked at a hotel, stayed in many others and most of the towels don’t even cover my 4’11 my self completely (90lbs) . But the towel she has is HUGE. Love your videos 💯❤️ constantly laughing
I have never thought about my big butt needing a bigger toilet seat. When my towel seemed to be to small, it told me it was time to watch what I eat & use that gym membership. Taking ownership instead of misguided blame gets the real result.
I think they want fat floors on the hotels, like they had smoking floors in the old days 😁
Lmao imagine checking in to a hotel and the lady asking if you want a room on the fat floor😂😂😂😂😂
@@brejan2275 that's not going to offend anyone at all 🤣
Better make it the first floor
@@andreakae4211 😂😂😂
@@andreakae4211 or the damn basement LOL
I am a super thin woman and the towels at hotels are too small for me as well! It's a thing...so, her point is moot...
Ah yes, towels. The most offensive thing on this planet.
In Japan, you squat over a hole in the floor, there’s no sitting, you gotta hold your own body weight. So how about we go to that.
