Thank you for the video. I've got a young 13cm female of a marginated tortoise. She is doing well but I believe she is sad. I'm constantly thinking about buying a Hermanns baby as her companion. What do you think, is that a good idea or not?
Not unless she wants to hibernate. Mine hibernates a months outside in September before I bring her back inside for winter. And she eats and walks around the house all winter.
Interesting stuff izabella. We keep grey tree frogs indoors all winter. It's the native American one. Do you have that species there too. Thanks for sharing. 👋. You might find this interesting. You know how they put vitamin D dust on crickets, i don't know how true this is but a biologist told me not only do they don't need it because of them being a "shade" animal but they can even get liver damage from the excessive Vitamin D. I thought it was interesting if true. See ya🤗
hi, is this a european tortoise? also, I am taking care of one outdoors. My neighbor also has one. His already got underground for winter but mine did not wanted to for long time. Do I have to make a hole and put it inthere and then cover with soil?
Tysm, I needed some advice about this
Thanks a lot for this video as it was very informative for me as I'm having a 8 different breeds of turtles

I think your man is right. All synthetic vitamins can cause damage to organs and often not even bio availably absorbed . Trough food or sunlight only
@@AquazoneQC thanks for responding Izabella ✌

Horsefiel or Russian tortoise. Let your tortoise hibernate as long as they want. Mine after 3 weeks got hungry and came out of it
@@AquazoneQC , is it at a room temperature or somewhere in basement?
@@dragodragov25 you are looking at a temperature around 5 degrees C
