In to Oz ep 7,Hi today I'm heading into Finch Hatton Gorge,wow what a surprise this gem is not on the radar for rainforests but I think it out does many fnq areas.a nice swim in the Cascades,and a close encounter with a monitor lizard,quick look at Marian sugarmill ,and Melba House ,where the Opera singer Dame Nelle Melba once lived and yes more sugar cane footage have I told you that I love sugar cane areas.

What a treat to have access to a waterfall and a pool to swim in, top of the list for land features. I never heard of Nellie Melba... I will have to look up info on her.

Hi Laura that area is very scenic and I just love sugar cane areas too,If I remember the water there was cold but great to jump in.The dish Peach Melba is named after Dame Nellie Melba.Thanks Bill.

It is worth the trip up to eungella. Never missed seeing the platypus there. Did you reward yourself with a pie from the Pinnacle pub?
