They patched this because now it's popular. We all knew about this for months and now it's gone. These people just don't know what is good for them to ignore. This kept players in the game and now it's removed because we like it and it works in our favor. Seems like a time gate is going to be placed in game no matter what. We got almost 100% up time on helltide and now no reset on chests thanks #Diablows
@@loengladiator3412 As long as the game has time to register you logged out, so I would aim at least 1-2mins left. What I meant in my comment is that before the time between two helltides was larger then 5minutes (that you had to stay logged off during).
Wish they would have made your construct pick up stuff like gold, cinders, ores, etc that there is no limit on them. Would of made this season have a lot more quality of life
I do not see any reasoning whatsoever to remove cinders from players who didn't die. It makes no sense at all, especially considering the material demands in place for farming Duriel.
This was a thing last season too, although I used it to transfer cinders over to other characters to open more chests to farm duriel. Surprised more people never talked about it. Good video.
I don't understand why blizzard don't buff Helltides density even more, it feels so empty... I had some fun this season, but then you arrive there to farm mats for duriel and you are with your lvl100 char min maxed destroying everything but there is no difficulty and density feels so bad imo. Then you are back farming tree of whispers and the chore is there again, that's why i pretty much stopped playing for this season. I heard they buffed the drop rate chance of Ubers uniques in NM dungeons, but knowing blizzard it will end up 2 ways, one is it will be overpowered and since blizzard hates fun they will pretty much reverse it to it's original state, OR like the bozo's they are they will buff it by 100% but since it's 0.01 % chance of drop rate it's gonna be Pepega again.
Really wish they change 3 things, keep the cinders like the blood helltide, make the pick up radius for cinders bigger, at least double and the third thing, increase the density on the helltide.
Just give us a pet like in Diablo 3 that collects stuff on the ground. More density would be great, more events in HellTide, some more Bosses or even a Hell Tide World Boss or some kind of Boss that can be summoned in HellTides.@@Rob2628

Diablo need a lot of things right now, but an auto pick item option must be implement ASAP. Cinder and animus should auto collect and no backtracking to get them. Playing with lightining storm druid and the massive AOE range, enemies die far way from you, but you still need to collect them.
Should we be hanging onto our shards until the 13th when the uber drop rate is raised? Would be great if farming helltides had a decent chance at them.
I actually tried this last night. I couldn't get it to work. Does it have to be Kyovashad? I would teleport to a waypoint in the helltide leave game and wait in the main menu until +2mins into the hour, log back in and my cinders would be 0. :(
Keep mentioning fireball without explicitly stating this, but it freaking pops from teammates kills... Noticed in hardcore duo run with a sorc friend. I was across a dungeon and still seeing fireball enchant procs 😂 The same friend is always asking for a "stud magnet" like from star wars legos haha. Need bigger collection radius for the cinders

Oculus could be an Uber Unique if not for the random teleport stat. - When Vampiric Powers were used in Season 2, the Oculus was OP because you could set the Evade Vampiric Power and it would override the 'random' teleport - so you could teleport like crazy in your desired direction. But now that we don't have vampiric powers, I'm super annoyed at the random teleporting from my Oculus Wand. It's my biggest gripe about the game. My favorite item is totally destroyed with that random teleport nonsense. Why would they do that? It's just a poor decision IMO. AND they lazily programmed it --> They forgot to add your trajectory to the math that makes random teleports, and now you almost always teleport BACKWARDS when you are moving forwards.
I mean yes we should talk about QoL features and if helltides need to be reset to be fun, but to be honest the only thing you're promoting right now is bug abuse. I think Blizzard should definitely do away with losing dross, or make it much more valuable to have unspent dross at the end of hell tide so you really want to give it, but only in the last few minutes. But well, it seems like content creators have no morals when it comes to their own gain. Sorry, work harder with the dev teams and show them every bug you find, but don't make people abuse bugs to get better than others. It's like cheating and it's annoying.
Helltides should work like blood tides did last season. Treasure keys and lures got carried over. Why can't the cinders carry over like that. it would be an awsome QOL change along with higher density mobs
I dont get why this is useful. There are only 2 living steel chests to pop per helltide for 550 cinders. Perhaps you run and get the single steels from the other chests but it's basically inefficient for time. I guess its useful if you want to the 10 chests in a single helltide season challenge.

Not sure if it’s been fixed but when using occy with a controller you can control the direction of the teleport. Cool little bug I found last season but haven’t checked this season

Lol it’s so easy they can’t even blame people for abusing that. Was very frustrating as i opened my first 275 chest this season - didn’t get a single weapon or armor piece from it only these summoning parts which i probably never need while just playing casual :/

the reason blizzard is not hiring rob as a beta tester is because there is too much to fix that he can find and it will create crunch hours every day for years XD
My experience is screaming hell veins can only be picked by one person. Not sure how that works in a group. Guess it just drops the loot for each member. Anyways, I thought about trying this very logout method just this week, but hadn't gotten to it yet. Quite the coincidence

what? no... you just have to port into town just before the helltide ends, then log out, wait 5-6 minutes until the new helltide starts and log in again. All the cinders you had are still there.
@@nik970305 No, they have changed that. Helltide is now always active. There is only a 5 minute break between Helltides. Helltide lasts 55 minutes, then there is a 5-minute break and after the break a new Helltide starts somewhere else.
lit storm wolf with max move speed is much faster clearing mobs with much less button mashing. if anyone has console and 2 controllers you can rush a 2nd account through campaign to t4 and have the idle 2nd player follow you around to collect x2 cinders and steel. works with any mats you can trade. i use summon necro with max skelly and black river malignant ring for free corpse dps to follow my druid it's great
the clearing speed is not the problem, but the lack of infinite teleports. Most of the time you move, not kill, and the same movement speed you can have on the stormwolf you can have on the sorc + the teleport. Additionally storm wolf needs to stand while casting. It will kill faster and wider (except when unstable current are active), but with more downtime.
@@marsovac unless an area is being heavily farmed by multiple players groups of mobs are close enough where move between them isn't a big deal. You still have to move on top of mobs to kill with bl, i can instantly clear 2 screens of pre grouped mobs before they can react to me and simply move to where the cinders dropped. Its much more efficient imo
@@bungmonkey2295 try it, and record it. Do 3k+ in one helltide as rob did with BL, without really trying hard and talking to chat. A video is worth a thousand words they say. You will also see that the Sorc part of the time clears out of screen as well while unstable current are active, and other players in helltide also drop cinders so your clear area is not that important.
@@marsovac he's doing it with other players first of all so all i have to do is match 1k in a helltide lol. 2nd i open 4 steel chest in 10 mins solo using 2 accounts. I can get 6k cinders in a helltide easily. I'll accept your challenge and post a video in a few days
@@bungmonkey2295 assuming the game is not a barren wasteland the amount of players in each zone instance will be equal on average, world players and group players count to the zone cap. So if he is in a group or some other lad in helltide kills he still gets to pickup those cinders. That doesnt significantly influence the amount you get on average. The onyl way you influence it is if you teleport on events that spawn a lot of cinders like the jar of souls. But in the video he didnt even play with his group let alonetp for events. I'll be waiting for the 3k video.

Cinders should magnetically go to your character instead of making us stop to pick them up every 2 seconds
The main reason people hate oding Helltide is because backtracking to pickup cinders slows oyu down alot and is super annoying. Good video :D

The whole concept of farming materials to farm other materials with them to finally farm duriel is the worst endgame ever

Makes no sense why they reset cinders. Like why ? More frustrating work for a game that really doesn’t need the extra bad stuff.
Honestly I dont know why this isnt a feature in the game. Make more living steel and mysterious chests or let the cinders roll over. Ideally both!

This is a shout to the devs to change the mindless farms for the unique rares, such bad mechanic for the game.

lit storm wolf with max move speed is much faster clearing mobs with much less button mashing. if anyone has console and 2 controllers you can rush a 2nd account through campaign to t4 and have the idle 2nd player follow you around to collect x2 cinders and steel. works with any mats you can trade. i use summon necro with max skelly and black river malignant ring for free corpse dps to follow my druid it's great
the clearing speed is not the problem, but the lack of infinite teleports. Most of the time you move, not kill, and the same movement speed you can have on the stormwolf you can have on the sorc + the teleport. Additionally storm wolf needs to stand while casting. It will kill faster and wider (except when unstable current are active), but with more downtime.
@@marsovac unless an area is being heavily farmed by multiple players groups of mobs are close enough where move between them isn't a big deal. You still have to move on top of mobs to kill with bl, i can instantly clear 2 screens of pre grouped mobs before they can react to me and simply move to where the cinders dropped. Its much more efficient imo
@@bungmonkey2295 try it, and record it. Do 3k+ in one helltide as rob did with BL, without really trying hard and talking to chat. A video is worth a thousand words they say. You will also see that the Sorc part of the time clears out of screen as well while unstable current are active, and other players in helltide also drop cinders so your clear area is not that important.
@@marsovac he's doing it with other players first of all so all i have to do is match 1k in a helltide lol. 2nd i open 4 steel chest in 10 mins solo using 2 accounts. I can get 6k cinders in a helltide easily. I'll accept your challenge and post a video in a few days
@@bungmonkey2295 assuming the game is not a barren wasteland the amount of players in each zone instance will be equal on average, world players and group players count to the zone cap. So if he is in a group or some other lad in helltide kills he still gets to pickup those cinders. That doesnt significantly influence the amount you get on average. The onyl way you influence it is if you teleport on events that spawn a lot of cinders like the jar of souls. But in the video he didnt even play with his group let alonetp for events. I'll be waiting for the 3k video.

Remember about OLD bug with disconnect when you tp from helltide to the city... I get this every time....
