Broken City is going to win, but they never have definite themes, so I can't give them music effect or visual effect scores. Because of this, pretty much all other groups should beat them which is sad because their music and visuals are really difficult.
Addison Stanley being in socal means that they have really good weather most of the time so they have more time to rehearse outside which can be beneficial to clean way faster than other groups
I can’t speak for Roger and the rest of the staff at Broken City, but rehearsals with Mike Jackson are in my experiences with him fairly relaxed but extremely focused on demand.
They rehearsed at the school I go to this season, it's honestly relatively laid back for the most part but mostly because when they need to, they can get very serious very fast to accomplish whatever they have to accomplish for the day. They also just all have a really good connection with each other from what I've seen, they all go out to eat together every break and they're always on pads together or just having a good time when they're not being instructed directly.
Jarrod Wheeler From what I've heard, the song in the 1st movement is an Adam Watts bonus track that came with the Bloom collection. The other two I'm not so sure about though
Hey Jerrod, The opening lines were ones I wrote specifically for the show... the closer vocals are from a new song ("LOVE YOU MORE") which is on my new album (which came out April 3rd)... the album is called "WHEN A HEART WAKES UP"... it's on Tunes etc.... The female vocals are from songs I co-wrote/produced with a great artist named Julia Ross (you can find her on Spotify and iTunes)... music from a song called "CAT GAMES" (the acoustic guitar parts) is used... and the vocals from her are from a song called "FELL IN LOVE WITH A THIEF", which is currently available at CrowdMusic.com
Ethan S-D I'm pretty sure 20, maybe 21, going off the fact that she marched dark sky last year even though she still lived in Japan and marched OC in 2016.
Those bass heads are beautiful 😭
They remind me of x-ray film
Pearce Cubed It looks like they took the hydraulic blue heads that Evans makes for drum set, but Evans blew them up to marching bass size.
4:57 "It's me that I've been haunted by..." Probably the single best Adam Watts sample they've ever used
Sean Styer what song is that sample from?
What song is that from at the end?
It's "love you more" by Adam Watts
Their bassline gave me chills. love the quality of this audio man!
also there's TWO chicks on the snareline now.
You clearly worked your ass off to make this video. Thank you, it's great.
This brought me to tears
Wtf is 1:23, their snares and basses do a hand to hand, like, holy crap
a roger carter classic.
I watched them while this happened, I was all the way at the back
Bro I had no Idea tony could moon walk 😂❤️
The way they look down in the beginning creates such an interesting mood
Those drums and keyboards are beautiful!!
it's about that time of year
2:40 shots aren't allowed to be that clean wtf
You are officially drumcorpstube-worthy
thank you for transcribing everything
So glad I got to see them in person💪🏿👨🏿🤜🏿
Bronze-2016, Silver-2017, Gold-2018 calling it
Nvm😪
The only question is, who's getting 2nd place this year.
North Personally think either Rhythm X or RCC. those along with Broken City are my top 3 right now

North Agreed. I think BC deserves a win atm, but will get really close at the end with them and Rhythm X
Jack Culp what happened to bass 1??
I was iffy on the music but the last part they just added is pretty sick
Straight 🔥🔥🔥 all around
I miss the mapex drums
does anyone have transcriptions yet? this show is so good!
:)!!!!!
At 2:53 I thought the snares were all going to hit a gock together 😂
Beautiful! 😍
bass drum heads look sick
What happened to bass 1 in the final run
Great Camera Work
I’m curious as to how the rehearsal environment is to be this clean and cohesive?
Addison Stanley being in socal means that they have really good weather most of the time so they have more time to rehearse outside which can be beneficial to clean way faster than other groups
B-Boy Smyles I get that part, I meant more like is it tense all the time and cut throat or is it chill and they just get the job done.
Addison Stanley well from what i hear from my techs who marched west coast groups i believe its super chill.

Top 3 forsure? im thinking X Broken City and Pulse
In no particular order.....i think its a toss up this year
Not sure about X, I was thinking RCC/Pulse/BC
I think its a Tossup 100%
No way to tell whos gonna take it rn.
Don’t forget abt mcm, they’re badass this year too
Pulse??
Does anyone know the song(s) used in this show?
Jarrod Wheeler From what I've heard, the song in the 1st movement is an Adam Watts bonus track that came with the Bloom collection. The other two I'm not so sure about though
Song in the second movement is "Fell in Love With a Thief" by Julia Ross/iRussi
Albert Avery I thought it might be her! She killed it on World War III

Ethan S-D I'm pretty sure 20, maybe 21, going off the fact that she marched dark sky last year even though she still lived in Japan and marched OC in 2016.
