Thanks for posting. As a Canadian, it`s been 20 months since I could visit one of my favorite little getaways. I see the old gas station that was at the start / finish corner has now been torn down and redeveloped. Look forward to getting back soon.

If you would’ve gone just a bit farther down, you would have seen marine park and dead man’s point! Love Fairhaven, it’s my hometown.

To keep fairhaven clean we must sweep the homeless tent people off our streets.

Fairhaven has some similarities to Santa Barbara and Seattle. There seems to be a fair number of interesting shops for wood marketry, artisan pottery, modern sculpture, but in order to rival London there would have to be a lot more bookstores, theatres, and antique shops. The double decker buses are always fun, but when it comes to Big Ben, gingerbread houses, Stinson Beach, Alcatraz, trolley cars, and don't forget bridges, sailboats and Japanese gardens, San Fran captures my interest best. It is eternal springtime and when the fog rolls in it is eerie and romantic like Edgar Allen Poe.There is a quaint British charm to Fairhaven which is admirable.Thank you for being the patch of blue on a cloudy day.Blessings.

So you are actually comparing Bellingham to London and San Francisco? You appear not to be aware how completely nonsensical that is. SF has a metro population at least 20x greater, and London is one of the largest, most dynamic (and most expensive) cities in the world. And, no one really cares what city “captures your interest best”. Also, SF weather is not eternal springtime (not that Bellingham’s is either).

@@r.brentjones5800 This was posted 8 months ago so your ruminations are irrelevant city slicker! I have lived in cosmopolitan cities all over the world and am fully aware of the drawbacks of overpopulated mega cities which do not support sustainable green policies, or advanced city planning policies.I was just positively describing some interesting traits of a little hamlet of the Pacific Northwest. You should be respectful and direct your comments toward the Fairhaven city tour which is the main attraction i.e. your thoughts and positivity about a rural habitat with growth potential for healthy sustainable green living.Your interpretation of what I had to say was misconstrued.I suggest you watch the Knowledge network on waterfront cities of the world or broaden your horizons and take a trip to Singapore and vacation on the island of Langkawi.Insults are unwelcome on any platform.

@@simonedevlin7710 You should practice what you preach. Facts are persistent things and the passage of time doesn't mitigate inanity. If you like Bellingham so much--and if you want people to take you seriously--you'd be better served by commentary that makes sense.
