Hi Jeff, Credit unions are non-profit organizations allowing them to pay higher interest rates. For example, Lake Michigan Credit Union will pay 3% on checking balance up to $15,000 as long as each month 10 debit card transfers take place. It will not help you on your $300K+ account, but for smaller accounts, quite nice. Unfortunately Lake Michigan Credit Union only in select markets. I would think other credit unions have something similar, but do not know. One thing is clear, credit unions are guaranteed by the government to a certain amount and beat the banks on financing rates.

I'm pretty sure I get 1.5% in my savings but I don't keep money in there anyway. It goes into my brokerage account for stocks because I'm pretty sure there are penalties to take it out of that meaningless account
If I had 1 million dollars in my bank my bank would pay $100 by the end of the year. At that point I don't deserve to have 1 million dollars simply because of my stupidity.
Jeff, Can you comment whether this investment type is legit. I’ve seen this mentioned on numerous other investment UA-camrs comment section about investing in Crypto with amazing returns. Commonly stated to contact a person with women’s name on What’sApp. Sounds too good to be true.
That is 💯 % NOT legit and all a scam. UA-cam has really dropped the ball screening for these type of spam comments. I do my best to report them but they literally appear on every single video even if they are not crypto related.

Mostly because I began experimenting with other investment platforms and then, ultimately, crypto. Makes sense. Look at this way. When you have 97 days in a row of sunshine you know eventually it's going to rain. Typically we experience a bear market every 4-5 years. Last one was 2007-2009; 12 years ago! So it's been pretty much sunny for 12 years straight. I think we're do for a thunderstorm sometime soon.
