I loved the hulk. He was one of my favorite childhood heroes. The hulk never attacked without a good reason. That's what made him a hero. I also loved watching Mr. Rogers. So imagine my joy seeing both of them on TV together one morning. All the great heroes seem gone now. Taken by time, or by the desire for bigger box office sales. I don't think they could make a new hulk tv series that held the same message as the classic.

The part that makes me sad is Bill Bixby talking about his son, and his son died less than a year later.

Drowning in the family swimming pool is how Bill Bixby lost his son.

What was really cool about this was even though if I remember correctly, the reason also that Fred Rogers wanted to do this was because even though he encouraged kids to play pretend he was bothered by kids who thought that they could imitate their favorite superheroes. In fact, I think he was really bothered when he heard about kids who were trying to jump out of high places like windows or things like that thinking they could fly like Superman. so he did this to show that what they see on TV from shows like the Incredible Hulk we pretend. What was really cool is that he wasn’t taking shots at anybody was completely respectful to both Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno and it just looked like a very comfortable moment for everybody involved.

I had nightmares from the original Muppet Show, a sketch that turned into the Pigs in Space segments.
Kids get scared about odd stuff sometimes
