This sums up how much people are tired of letting drake slide when it comes to rap battles and rap beefs, the only past he might get is the battle with meek mills. But any of the other beefs he has to hold that L. Like joe said when it's time for rap lets beef and lets rap as soon as it goes to a physical confrontation that's when someone should come in and say what ya doing and how did it escalate to this point. An example of this was when the zulu nation jumped in the common vs Ice cube beef they didn't want to see another biggie and pac disaster. But at the end of the day this a competitive music genre and when someone step up to battle you must do war and drake wasn't ready when pusha came back for war.

Here is the thing though. Drake is NOT a true MC. Aubrey is a singer who can rap. There is a difference. True MC's are like Gladiators! This is how I like to look at it. We all know Pusha T is one of the better MCs in the game. But Pusha doesn't have the stature to really fck up Drake's career. He just embarrassed him. This was good for hip hop tho. Give credit to Pusha for calling out Drake, as he always has. Give credit to Drake for finally biting the bait. This moment in hip hop had lil pump, Uzi Vert, mumble rap fans tuning in to the actual lyricism displayed between Drake(and/or Ghostwriter) and Pusha T. Young hip hop fans who had no clue who Pusha T was, now know of this man and at least have a clue of what his ability as an MC has always been. It was a great moment in hip hop. I think both parties have a lot to say about each other that we will probably never hear. I do believe this was something that could have gotten deeper than rap and when something reaches that point, it's no longer about entertainment. Drake just gotta lick his wounds and move on. Battling doesn’t come with a marketing plan. When Moe Dee went at Busy Bee, he didn’t consult a marketing manager about how it’s going to affect his shoe sales. He battled with words. Cube, nas, Jay, they didn’t have a Excel spreadsheet on the cost effectiveness of what words will make a good poster.
Drake is Not Hip Hop. He is IKEA. He’s Taco Bell. He’s a brand.
When an investor steps in on a Hip Hop battle beef, you aren’t a rapper or an MC, you’re a brand. And, if you’re a brand, shut the fuck up about your mic skills, your battling skills, anything involving rap. Be a brand, sell shoes, talk about money. Not lyrics, or your pen game.

Why are there so many Drake apologists on this podcast. Pusha T was answering interviewers questions about his song. In every single interview he would follow it up with "now let's talk about my album". These guys make it sound like he was using his interviews to take shots at Drake the entire time. That's just not true.

The only one I saw where he broke it down, and nicely at that, was with Big Boy. To me, it made the diss more potent. Cause I was laughing about the Steve Harvey suits, but hearing his logic behind it tied the blackface and character analysis together. They’re looking for anything to help out Drake. I’m very disappointed with the way the podcast turned out for these past two weeks. I rushed to them when this went down and they spent two hours bigging up Drake and spent 30 minutes on Pusha and his album. Joe still hasn’t clarified whether he still thinks Infrared was a mistake, having heard the diss track. They’re not being consistent, like it was with Meek or Remy with Shether. Very disappointing.
