Frederico Martins: "We just arrived at Fuerteventura to shoot an editorial for Elle. This is a beautiful island, pretty deserted, not many trees or vegetation but they have beautiful beaches.
We have been preparing this shoot for a few weeks now. We have a production company working for us on Fuerteventura. They did all the location scouting.
We have been working with Paulo on the styling. He's been working for the last two weeks to find the right clothes and the accessories that he wants.
We are preparing two editorials for the magazine. We are working on one cover at least. Our model is from Iceland. She has a really nice appeal for the Summer story that we are creating here.
The reason that I choose the IQ for the shoot is that we have a really big full frame sensor so we don't
have any ratio on the lenses, and this new camera back allows you to work wirelessly with an iPad.
You use the camera with a CF card and at the same time the art director has a possibility to watch the
workflow through an iPad or an iPhone. He can tag the images, he can rate the images, and that information will be stored in the camera in real time.
We are going to a beach with white sand and black rocks. We'll have to use artificial light to
get this feeling because we don't have sun.
The IQ260 simplifies the workflow because on location it's really tough when you need to bring the computer and working with a cable and you have to move the computer.
With this new camera it's really simple. I'll be shooting from the iPad. You can control the camera through Capture Pilot.
When you put the camera really high or really low and it's not comfortable for you to be looing at the view finder. You just frame it, and then you can control the camera through the iPad or the iPhone.
You can keep shooting and looking at what you're getting without having to look through the view finder which is quite handy.
I think it's an awesome solution."

+Phase One, why do the thumbnails in Capture Pilot have to refresh every time you view an image and go back to thumbnail listing, and why does the picture have to reload if you click on it again? how come you do not cache all this data in iOS app to speed things up and make it a better experience?
    thank you

Speechless in a good way! Looking forward to when this technology is filtered down into SLR territory.
