This is a video diary of my weekend spent in New York 2 weeks ago. It was nice to see Tyler again after 2 months, and also a reunion for all three of us with William (whose birthday was the day before I went to the City).
I'm so grateful for friendship, love, and the ability to travel & walk all over the streets of ny. I know that my youth is finite and someday I'll be cranky and ache-y, but I'm very thankful that my body is healthy and serving me well.
I'm grateful for my eyes, which see color and allow me to enjoy the splendor of it. and for my ears, which allows me to be further observant to the world around me, to listen to music which soothes or excites me. And I love my mind, which always seems to desire to explore and to create and to tell stories from those experiences.
I'm thankful for the ability to form meaningful connections with other beings in this world. I hope that I can continue to flood myself with this sense of belonging and motivation each day, no matter how flat, boring, or unproductive some days may seem. still lots more to see, and a lot more stories to tell.

If you like immersive theatre, you should try Secret Cinema in London. SO amazing. I went for Blade Runner last year and I never wanted it to stop. Everyone who buys a ticket are assigned a role according to a mini quiz you take before you go to the event. I think you'd love it!

I really appreciated the window scenes of the cars passing by . One of my favorite things to do is sit at a window and look at passing cars. It may sound odd but I find it relaxing.

I cannot BELIEVE I stood in the exact same place as you did on that big rock in Central Park, probably around 3 weeks after you did, without even knowing it!! Teaches me for accidentally falling behind on your videos haha. I'm from Australia, and I recently spent 3 weeks in NYC (the city I've been waiting to go to for my entire life) with my auntie. This video got me so emotional - the city shots made me long for my favourite city in the world, and your adventures with Tyler and William made me long for my treasured times with my auntie in this beautiful city. I just wanted to say that I met someone who did design work for The Top of the Standard (I'm an Interior Design student at FIT). It's so cool to see that these beautiful places that I see only in drawings and photos actually exist and are tangible. SO glad that you got to experience and show us that awesome space :)

yOu SaW sLeEp No MoRe?!?!!?!!!! Sleep No More is one of the most well-known pieces of experimental theatre. I'm very jealous. I have not seen Sleep No More. The last time Tyler took you to seen a show (at least that you've documented through vlog) was Shear Madness, which I have seen. I'm so glad you appreciate theatre, my chosen medium. I always get sucked in my visual artist vloggers on UA-cam, so it's nice to see the occasional glimpse of my own art form.
I had paused to type this comment as soon as you said the title, but it GOT BETTER. Now, I know the cast and crew of that show see a lot of shit go through. I hear people like to show up drunk, which I feel like wouldn't exactly aid your understanding of the show, but whatever. But I feel like they've never had someone 1) rip their dress 2) scrounge one safety pin from the staff 3) actually find a needle and thread somewhere in the set and 4) sew their dress up again. You're going down in the Sleep No More records now, Annabelle.
@@frostedjosieos3193 The cast really took a liking to Annabelle. Seems they noticed all the effort we put into dressing up, and we also played along with the 30's theme for the fun of it. When I went into the lobby they were referring to her by name when talking to me, saying how much they just "adored" her. Helped us to get some pretty good tips for where the best theatrical performances of the evening would be. Definitely try to make friends with the cast when you go! It's really worth it :-)

I´m late, but happy new year everybody. Watching this vlog while i´m eating it´s just perfect. I want to say thank you to you for making those videos (specially vlogs) because sometimes watching them had make my day better and i don´t know if you can imagine what powerfull it´s that. It´s not only entertainment because watching you being so natural in front of a camera is inspirational (for me at least) and the way you make us travel with you through this rought journey called life it´s just wonderful so thank you for that. I've been wondering what you think about the affordability of fair trade clothing/other items in general. I often feel like it's difficult to compromise between investing in rather pricey fair trade items vs affordability. It's frustrating that it's hard to be sustainable and smart about purchases because some things are so inaccessible financially. How would you navigate this?
Of course I'm not Annabelle, but I would recommend (if it's an available option to you) to buy secondhand / thrift. It's generally affordable, and it also keeps clothing that would have otherwise been trashed from entering the wastestream. Even brands that claim to be "sustainable" may not have the paperwork or third-party review to assure they are (i.e.: everlane ironically).
Also I understand if you want to support the sustainable businesses themselves, but what I personally do is wait for their annual sales or buy basics when I wear out the core pieces that I have :) I think coats are a great investment piece
