1:25 the line judge does not always see the block touch. Line judges are told by the 1st ref to only call a touch if we are absolutely 100% certain, otherwise, just show "in" or "out". The 1st referee will use our signal to inform their decision, but the 1st ref will primarily look at the 2nd ref to help determine if there was a touch or not.
@@JJ-pp6tz haha I wish I remembered better. I think I ended a game too early but it wasn't a big deal and otherwise it went well. Trust me once you get up there and start watching the match you'll get in the zone and you'll do great.
@@evanmitchell1110 Thank you, man! I honestly feel better after reading that! I'm still studying like crazy trying to make sure I don't mess it up. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.
Case 6 is really hard to tell because it looks like the Block on the Left from the left team ( if u are the first referee) touched the net with his body before the ball landed on the ground
Why? Why? Why? "Appropriate" "Read" and you should show the hand signals the 1st referee gives every time. And, why, WHY did you show 20 seconds of nothing during case 14 (6:30)? Honestly, it added nothing at all to the purpose of the video to see Sidão wiping off sweat, taking the ball and preparing to serve. Oh, and you're wrong for case 14. Russia was nowhere near the net during the attack. Brazil was at the net to block, but as Brazil won the point, it clearly wasn't a net or penetration under the net. it was just a simple "ball in" call, because the attack was in the net and hit the ground. And you forgot to make chapters for the first two cases; they are included in the Intro.

Case 8 should have been a net call on #16 from Brazil.
In case 14 I think it's ball in, there is no ball in the net for a spike, it's only for serve.
I thought so too.
unless it was because the guy went to touch the net afterwards, but I'd say that was out of play...
Thank you. I have reffing tomorrow for my first time and this helped me prepare :)
dude same. I have to be there at 7:30am and its 8:30pm and im kinda worried. I know its 5 years ago but how did it go?

@@JJ-pp6tz Good luck man!

something you could maybe do next time is to have a replay where it shows the case in slow motion
Thank you for creating this video. It is very helpful. Do you have any more?
I will defiantly post one more this week :)
i want to see less obvious calls i.e. at the net; (or did the ball, attacker, or blocker cause net to move?)
"Appopriot"?
Don't diss the guy 😢. He is trying to teach us something.
case5 is passing the centerline
Good video but there was no signal of double, carry, back line foul, it could have been more helpful
In case 18, it was called out. Why would it not be considered a "touch?"
when the ball hits any obstruction, excluding the net but including the antenna it is called out
What is Appoppriot? That is way too InAppoppriot!
Nice videos
