That was educational and well done. One interesting thing is that in all the other videos I've seen, no one has thought of flipping the solid fuel stand over and putting the liquid burner inside the upside-down solid fuel stand. Brilliant!
Seems like a ok one man set, prefer the Trangia myself. Main problem with many of these sets is that they are coated, something that ruins durability. The heat from the alcohol can be too much for Teflon. Titanium would be nice but oh my so expensive :p
I keep hearing great things about the Trangia set. I'll have to add it to my collection and do a test. Likewise, I'm not a big fan of coated cookware for camping or even in the kitchen, and you're right about Titanium...they're pricey for sure. Thanks for watching!
high cany anyone tell me the measurements for the Esbit 585ml Cookset Stove. (HIGHT & INTERNAL DIAMETER) every sight ive seen selling them gives differing measurements & i want to see if it will nest with my Stanley Adventure Cooker THANKS

Great video! Thanks for putting it together for us. Funny, fast and informative!
Bic now makes a lighter with a 2 inch flame extender. Perfect for Esbit tabs and alcohol stoves.
