Implants are the most important because there are 6 slots. Higher tiers mean 18 main characteristics empowering your hero, plus the same amount of secondary characteristics. However, they are also the most time-consuming. You need to find a high-tier implant receipt, level up construction proficiency to craft at least blue quality, and spend a lot of time rerolling, as it's hard to get good stats initially. And I’m not even mentioning the need for good crafting resources and a tier two implant to get chip slots. However, remember that you can trade for the implant you want or get lucky with drops from dangerous creatures.
The second most important, in my view, is weapons. They have crucial main stats that implants can't boost, like attack speed, which many heroes rely on. You only need one or two weapons, so you don’t have to spend as much time as with implants.
That leaves chips and consumables. Chips can empower your hero constantly, while consumables are temporary. But as with weaponry and construction, there is balance here too, since some chips receipts can require resources from all different 4 nods while crafting consumables is the least resource-demanding compared to the others.

@@whymeowmeow thanks for the advice and for sharing your knowledge with me. Do you have any tips on which secondary professions I can combine Weaponsmith or Construction?

I think it's entirely up to you to choose since all professions require resources from all types of nodes. You might find a correlation between your gathering preference and your second crafting proficiency choice. For example, if you decide to do logging and choose implants as your primary profession, it could be handy to choose alchemy. This is because one of the most important consumables, "painkillers," requires blue lotus to craft, which you can get from magic trees. Overall, it depends on what you gather when choosing a second profession.
