Great video Pete! A little ripple noticeable on the roof and grass at the frame edges in some places but very good quality for a drone of that price. And fully stabilized as well.
@@RCEscape My Fimis are incredible, as you can see if you check my vids. My l109 had some compass problems and the ribbon came loose on my camera (now fixed). Waiting to judge it, now that it is working. Sold my 2 axis 906 beast to buy the f11 and only lost $38. Bullet dodged.

I thought it might be nice to see where other people go to test their drones. Check out my Fimi 2020 test flight too if you like. Just to catch the scenery ( Yukon, Canada). Thanks Greg!! I am blown away with this one! The whole 25 or so minutes of the flight came out good but just some good portions were used for this video to match the length of the music. Looks like 2021 will be the year we see these cheaper quads with good usable video footage :) 👍😍
Kinda expected it would be MJX to bring out the first actuallly useable sub $200 gimbal quad, but it's good to see that finally one manufacturer got it right :-) Spare batteries are a bit expensive though, given they're not 'smart'.
The thing is MJX has the B12 EIS that looks just like this but has just EIS and no gimbal. They could easily add it on in a future model and that is what they should focus on now so we should see an influx of these next year I would think. The batteries are indeed expensive but when you order it with 2 or 3 batts it is cheaper.
@@RCEscape I'm not reviewing many drones anymore these days, only once so often as they more often than not all the same just rebranded, I been enjoying the rc cars and trucks more and also doing my own builds 👍
When it works, it takes beautiful pictures and footage! However, this drone is known to have a notorious toilet bowl issue sometimes, for me, it tends to happens when it's windy.
Thanks for the review Pete, great footage. Why is it virtually none of these budget drones have 5.8 for fpv. I love how these newer drones are getting better and better but 5g sucks and is a deal breaker for me every time.
Thanks! I would have to believe that majority of consumers will have a smart phone so there is no need to get additional stuff like goggles or monitors so it is targeted towards the majority. It would be nice to have a 5.8ghz version too :)

I'm prejudiced being a senior but danged if I can see how anyone gets any clarity out of a phone screen in daylight. Love your home by the way, I'm in Arizona near Las Vegas so looks great to me.
@@weseng1 What I do is I just stick on an aio vtx if I need to fly it with goggles :) I’ll do just that too for the distance test. I was stationed in Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista AZ and lived in Tucson for a while for school so naturally the high desert was attractive in that same way I guess. I simply love that each house is an acre here. I really don’t even know who my neighbors are :)

2 days til I get my drone. I fly 2 x8se, one 2018, one 2020 as well as a zlrc l109. I am so glad to see the control that this drone offers. Nice eye.

Perhaps the one rotation is not enough when calibrating the compass.

I bought one from banggood and disappointed that it didn’t come with optical flow and sonic sensors.
Mine didn't come with them either. I don't need them.

Don't worry, there is no optical flow. Mine has the opening but no optical flow. It will drift a little flying indoors, so be careful.
