I'm an old school dj when we had to haul what we called coffins that carried 1200's the size of huge dog houses. Oh and when crates were actual milk crates full of vinyl. But the one thing I learned is you can have all of the dj equipment you desired.but it all worthless without the MUSIC. also talent and creativity won't hurt. Many thanks to the crossfader team for your tireless commitment and creativity .
music should not be free.... and please stop dj'ing on big systems with mp3's, always go lossless. FLAC, WAV or AIFF. every producer, soundengineer and the ears of you audience will thank you.

Beatport is always my first preference but I’ve used Juno a few times when a particular track I was after wasn’t available on Beatport for some reason. #WeAreCrossfader

Otherwise Bandcamp is great - they support the artists far more than other competitor services and you can also get music in a range of formats.
hey im currently subscribed to 2 record pools and still can't find songs that im looking for. I refuse to subscribe to a 3rd record pool. Another dj told me he doesn't recommend downloading songs from soundcloud because of the quality so I don't want to risk that. Do you have any other recommendations?

Hi I’m just starting off as a dj and I’m wondering if I have a big list ready of songs I want to use now and songs I might use in the future could I just pay for one month of a record pool to download all the songs at once and then don’t renew the subscription the next month? Or is it a case of i I cancel my membership I can’t access my downloaded songs Thanksss
As a very beginner dj I use mostly Beatport, but I'm also looking into switching from Spotify to Tidal for streaming/listening to tracks. #WeAreCrossfader
@@dryxbeeI don't mind. Well, beatport is pretty ok for my needs so far, but in the mean time I'm waiting for a great deal on Tidal to do the switch from Spotify. I think I might keep using spotify as well (without subscription) just for listening to music. Oh and in the mean time I'm also using youtube music (with youtube premium) for searching for new tracks. Sometimes the tracks are not yet present on Spotify, and/or unavailable after a couple of days/weeks/months. I hope that spotify will be available again for streaming in dj softwares like rekordbox or serato or any other.
Another great video, but It should be good to mention that DJ pool are not for everyone. In most cases, if not all, you must apply as a professional DJ. So people like me starting with almost nothing must go for other solutions.

Don't forget you have some useful free tools like TuneMyMusic or Soundiiz to transfer tracks or playlists from one provider to another one ;)
