- As new economic models emerge, startup culture is spreading day by day all over the world. The rise in entrepreneurship is contributing to a country's economic growth. This startup wave has also hit India and is growing exponentially. But is it properly regulated by Indian government? Companies like Vedantu, Bharatpe, Unacademy, etc. are India's startup unicorns. But none of these companies are emerging profitable which is raising questions. Investors are hesitant to invest more because of this. Let's find out reasons of this downward trend and why are businesses not able to emerge profitable. We will also see at role a political party like BJP, Congress and AAP can have in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Let's watch this video to understand why India's startup ecosystem in trouble.

@@gayatriyadav4003 really 😯 i mean whats point in that, sports and education is two different things even if they trying their brand name to get fame or recognition that will be a stupid thing, who will be interested in enrolling to their courses while watching football, and lets be honest whenever we watch football our focus is only on game even they are trying neuromarketing or branding their name subconsciously in our mind thats too much.
PW made revenue of 210 crores in just a week by enrolling 30k students in various vidhyapeeth centre (30k*70k=210 crores), no any startup in the world have made this much in a week. The problem with most indian startups is they highly lacks vision and just runs after money.

I don't believe in bringing huge investments in startup bcoz once you get it you make huge offices hire employees and at the end you don't get that much return. For me investment is just for growing the valuation!

The biggest reasons are, Lack of Financial knowledge (cuz just being from a Prestigious Engineering college doesn't mean u will be a successful Entrepreneur, facts that is) , Herd mentality (since u can see Almost 100 startups are aiming JEE/NEET, wid affordable pricings, arre Bhai kitna sasta karoge... Company hi sasti ho gyi 😂....Sab ek hi line mein, no new market search), AND Can't indentify Target customers and Upcoming sector booms like gaming and Cyber security

So ek startup agar fail ho rha hai so that's because ki doosre startup ki growth ho rhi hai. So in short, startup is responsible for making other startup getting failed. So esse economy growth pr fark nhi padega, just company ko fark padega.

One of the main reasons is shrinking of middle class economy, so most of the Ed-tech companies have to offer whopping amount of discounts to retain the customers. Most of the customers of service sector startups are people of middle-class sector.

Mostly those startups or company run profitably who grab consumer form different countries but all those companies shown in viedo are mosty creating Indian consumers that's why they are in loss.. obviously it's my experience and opinion.

Gourav bhai, You informed us that OLA, BYUSUS, UNACAMEDAMY, VEDEANTA faced losses in this financial year. I think that the reasons of major losses of this Startup are -
1) In case of OLA, Most of the States got restriction to the public transport in 2020-21 year during the Panademic situation. So, OLA faced major losses.
2) In case of all learning platforms or apps like BYUSUS or UNACAMEDAMY etc, these apps were more profit in Panademic period when all the Educational Institutions were remained closed. But, while these Institutions were running, the interdependency to these apps were decreasing. Because, these apps were increasing among the students to the addiction of Mobile or laptop etc. The Guardians were worried for it.

If everyone was opening a business running on profit growing at less than 5% per year, it will take centuries before India would digitize or have good services. That is where startups are different from normal businesses and what Indian media house writers don’t understand and keep creating this hype around “burning money”. Unicorns raised fund to burn money and grow. That is why they don’t get to raise in BSE or NSE, they are money guzzling unpredictable businesses which will ‘go big or go bust’.

Actually startup boom was also due to Flipkart ur right flipkart bcoz when walmart brought flipkart at heavy valuation then investor thought we should invest heavly in startup without seeing fundamental of the startup but when Paytm IPO came and heavy loss was down then investor's came to reality that this flipkart magic is not going to happen with every startup before Paytm ipo investor thought was we will invest heavly in startup and we make them unicorn then any big company will buy these startup and we will be get heavy profit in our investment but everything happened wrong

GST, Demonetisation were a complete faliure good ideas but lack of implementation because of sudden policy changes without thinking about them or doing pilot projects about them just to make people happy that now decisions are made faster but the most importing thing is any idea needs consultation from experts , pilot projects , proper implementation (which can be done with proper planning) but the current goverment is not listening to experts or anyone like they did in covid after 1st wawe of covid PM Narendra Modi announced that India won against covid but we know what happened after that due to over confidence of goverment there were no proper arrangements of even oxygen in hospitals .
No second wave of covid was totally different than first wave.. in first wave there was no need of such oxygen... Govt and even hospitals were not aware of such requirement of oxygen.. and even union govt offered 8 oxygen concentrators to delhi but kejriwal govt refused to give land..
