Jannis Tenbrink Thanks. I tend not to go above average cue length as my time for composing for UA-cam is a bit limited (and it doesn't make sense when the average view-duration is just over a minute).
+The Synthetic Orchestra You know that people can push the time to like 10 hours on some videos. Full songs are about 4-6 minuets long away on advrange.
+Nova Storm I meant average cue length when scoring for TV/film/games. If you look at the average soundtrack, it's mostly music between 1 and 2 minutes long, and so I tend to work around that. A minute of music can take me many hours to compose, and so I try to keep them short and cover a variety of pieces - that way there's a couple minutes music for everyone, rather than hours of music for a very select few.
***** Wow, really??! Surely you must be using something, because I own a lot of the libraries you've shown in your livestreams & the stock sounds do not sound this good. The stereo staging and convolution verb sounds fantastic. I was almost certain you where running it all through Vienna ensemble pro, but didn't see it in the streams either!
D2therJ Really - the only time I use convolution is the rare occasion that I'm having to use an instrument that's recorded dry, but this is never the case with things such as Spitfire Audio, Cinesamples, Sonokinetic, etc. Those products are the ambient sound out the box (usually default mix/mics). No VEP either - it doesn't work with FL Studio.
***** Your sound staging is incredible, a lot of the works you upload sounds like they're recorded live on stage. I assumed you where using something like IR, or Valhalla because most of the time it's hard to mix and match different libraries and have them sound exactly like you've done here without a IR. I see you're using 12, I tried it but disliked the new plugin management. 11 was basically useless for scoring until the 64-bit release. Keep up the awesome work.
D2therJ I pretty much exclusively use Spitfire Audio libraries nowadays (or private libraries recorded in the same space) which gets rid of the mix/match problem. A lot of libraries will sit together okay, though, as long as the space is somewhat similar and the library is well recorded/engineered. I think you start to get problems if you're using weirdly recorded things (jury rigged setups in chuches, people's bedrooms, etc.) or are trying to get an IR to sound like a real room. After years of trying, I could never get it to sound convincing (it sounds great until you put something _really_ ambient next to it, at which point the difference is obvious). FL11 64bit is still the pinnacle of FL for me, when it comes to scoring. I have been forcing myself to use 12 recently though to give Image-Line some feedback and thoughts and the things they've told me sound very promising - they're adding in time-signatures soon, and are also looking at the tempo/time-sync problem for scoring to video (also a new video player was just released). It sounds like there has been a shift in direction to try to address things like this, so hopefully we should see improvements in 12.1 and beyond.
Legend of Galactic Heroes!
I used this for my Warhammer 40K RPG session. This was absolutely fantastic.
very legend of the galactic heroes-y I like
Sounds neat!
Played this in the backround of several space sim games, as well as Sins of a Solar Empire. Fits it perfectly
1:02
"Lambda cruiser is down! I repeat: Lambda cruiser is down!"
"Where in the hell did that shot come from?!"
You never cease to amaze me my friend! Amazing job yet again!
Oh my, the 13th Fleet is so smart!
This is great. There should be more like this.
"THERE WILL BE SOMETHING FOR CHRISTMAS!"
I like it.
Amazing original work, just like usual
Awesome track - if it just weren't so short...

Awesome original music!
Absolutely amazing! I love it! :D

As always I am amazed. It kind of reminds me of the star wars 1 episode the fight with the read and black dude.
Darth Maul*

THis is totally amazing!!!!
Love it!
For the Emperor! Burn the Heretic! Kill the Mutant! Purge the Unclean!
Excellent track! Just wondering, how much would you charge to compose an original score?
Remimds me of Warhammer 40k.
From 1:01 - 1:18 it sounded like a piece from Dark souls, and I love that part of this song :D
Looks like the Terran carriers
from Galaxy on Fire
Awsome!
I hear "Christus, Terra, Christ" when choir sings. Is it true lyrics or just my interpretation?
The enemy is getting a lot of flying missiles for Christmas!
freaking epic
I hope you don't mind if I use this in an animation I am making
You need to play homeworld it is just like this track! Big space battles.
God damn...
Lyrics, please?
What verb vst are you using for your string runs? Jesus.. they sound fantastic!
D2therJ Thanks! No reverb at all, just the sample library sounds out of the box.

Is this from Gundam?
No, it's an original piece.
@@syntheticorchestra yeah I just noticed the title and thumbnail. I guess I can't read lmao.
I could use some help with a video sir!
Too short, awesome though.
Its good, but it sounds more like epic fantasy than Sci-fi
Very "Dark Souls"
Darth Vader's revenge/strikes back
That is this from? Halo 5?
+Discorn I think the clue is in the video title.....
