They are all absolutely wonderful Miriam, impossible to choose between them as they all have a charm and magic unique to each. This set of cards displays an astonishing array of quilling skills, styles and techniques, perfectly executed and as always your water coloured backgrounds give each one depth and added richness. I love the tip of completing one side of the shape and letting the glue to set before completing the other side, this is really helpful. I also love that each one has a different finial (I think that’s what the tops are called!), that extra little detail. Anyone would be delighted to receive such a beautiful card at Christmas. Thank you for sharing a gorgeous video. ❤😘
Hi Orla, thank you very much for the kind words! 😊 And thank you for letting me know that the top part of the ornaments is called a "finial". I was searching on the internet and I think I did find this word, but I wasn't exactly sure if it is actually referring to that top element of the ornament. Now I know 😉 🌟. Also, some things I just learn as I go, like the "tip" of letting the glue dry before continuing on another curve of the ornament. I don't have time to practice it before and see if it will work 🙈. So, it's interesting for me too, to learn new things as I go 😊. I hope you have a great week! 💛
Hi Tabea, thank you very much for the lovely comment! 😊 That is so wonderful that you were watching my video as the first snow of the year was falling 🌨️. A very beautiful scene! I envy you a little for the snow 😉🙈🤭. We used to have more snow where I live, when I was younger. Not so much now (maybe just one snowfall per winter, and not as much even then). But I hope snow will come this year again ❄️😊, even just once. Have a nice week! 💛
Hello Nancy, thank you very much for your beautiful words! 😊 I'm happy to hear you liked the cards! It was an enjoyable Christmas project ! 💛 Have a nice week! 🌟
Yes. I absolutely have difficulty parting with some of my artwork. Not necessarily all of it... but som. And mine isn't even as beautiful as yours! Wat type of quilling paper do you use? do you cut it yourself? Is it thicker than average quilling paper?
Same here, with some of my artwork (not all) I have more difficulty parting 😊. But I'm always happy at the fact that others can enjoy it too, when I do part with it. I don't think it's always about how beautiful it is, for me it's also about the time and effort put into making them and some of them just have a special meaning to me. For these cards I only used paper strips that I cut out myself out of A4 sheets of paper (130 gsm and 300 gsm).
Just discovered this ancient art of quilling. I’m hooked. Thank you for the beautiful inspirations
So happy to hear! 😊
