Seen a few of these on petrol vw also. The arm for the wg flap rusts and causes the actuator to stick in one position causing an over or under boost code. Love your videos matt. Always good to watch with a Chinese take away infront of the TV at a weekend.
Wish this was my issue, $3,650 dollars later got a new turbo and actuator and sensor all replaced. Very costly and now I am gonna probably have to replace the DSG dual mass flywheel.
Hi Matt, great video I have a similar problem, but it’s intermittent coincides with warm weather. I’m unable to get clarity on which actuator to buy for my car. There seems to be a couple different ones, but sellers aren’t willing to accept a return if it’s the wrong one. Any advice on where to purchase these or get clarification? Thanks mate.
Would this cause the car to not run my buddy has one it died on us Goin down the road we pulled over popped the hood an there was fuel all over the top of the fuel filter had to have it towed took it to a shop this week and the mechanic said it needs a new turbo 4500$
Gratitude where due 🙏 iv got thr smae problem on my vw touran 2008 1.9 tdi 1t11t2. Nippy as fuck goes into lime mode if i put the foot down hard enough 😤. Turn of the key and pronto its back baby 😅do need to get it fixed though. You around Edinburgh? Cash waiting 💰 on a serious note because most garage's iv been to just want to change the whole turbo 😢
I’ve a Passat 2.0tdi and my turbo boost at like 3k rpm but has nothing any lower, I took it to the garage and they said they don’t know what’s wrong with it, car had a new turbo fitted but still the same problem, going to try change the n75 valve out as all the pipes and intercooler are fine so failing that do you know what I should try?
Hi mate, I have a issue with my audi a3 1.6 tdi coming up with a engine code p023800 as a burbo charger boost sensor A high input. Iv changed 2 sensors, the one at the top near the turbo, and also the map sensor, the car is still in limp mode with the coil spring and ESP light, do you think it could be my actuator? Iv already spent so much money on it and I need help 😭. Thank in advance
If it's the linkage that is sticking on a pivot I would use WD-40. That has worked for me. If it is the variable vane turbo with sticking vanes , you could try a turbo cleaner that goes in the fuel tank, although I have found that I can only clean them off by stripping them down to clean and free them off properly
Hi I have a golf gtd 2019 and have a problem of boost power the car use to pull excellent then suddenly had intermittent boost issues when putting my foot down car will have the pulling power sometimes and now that feel of power to pull is gone the car does drive and pull but not like it did before tried it in normal mode and sport mode even when I use to put in dsg manual mode I could feel the pulling power now that has gone too there are no warning lights on the dash what could it be? Any help would be appreciated
Have a underboost issue with my seat Leon mk2 170tdi. I have read this is one of the most common issues relating to the code I’ve got. Is it as simple as a straight swap? Or is there any need for it to be set up electronically?
When you have an under boost from the actuator does it sound or act as when you accelerate the car releases pressure causing the car too have no power unless you let off pedal and then reapply pressure?

It's great that Leon goes with me sometimes.
Although I don't think he has any interest in it.

Im struggling to get this actuator in South Africa. Most car spares dont have this 1.

How did you test the voltage when you moved it?
Back probed at the signal wire on the sensor
What grease could you put on it if it’s just stuck slightly?

@@mechanicmatt871 Sounds like a good first try. Ty.
@@mechanicmatt871 Just adding to my first comment my P2263 turbo Does not break down the issue so I have to pick it apart.

Like programming it in?

I didn't hear any sound of air escaping like a split boost pipe. Just noticed it going into limp home mode.
Hi matt where are you based? I have a car for you to look at
I I'm in St Austell, Cornwall.
Wee buns for you
