Such humility. He is a Nobel laureate but his parting words were you might consider reading the book. Wow
Just compare him to someone like (say) Margaret Atwood or Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who would always remind you that they were the smartest person in the room by far. I met him at a book signing in England for 'An Artist of the Floating World' and I remember having a real, straight ahead conversation with him in which he actually listened to what I had to say and thought about his answers. One of the very, very few writers you would actually enjoy spending an evening with. In the fullest sense of the word: a 'Gentleman.'
Just bought my copy & now to await delivery.
Bought it and read it, such a sweet book, he deals with so many themes and issues in such an elegant way, it's an amazing book for real

Wow, he speaks just as he writes. The voice in the video is the one I heard in my head as I read.
