Just FYI I'm not great at DIY videos...I try my best and hopefully it helps guide or points you in the right direction to getting this done :)

Just want to say a big thank you for this vid, I've just completed my own hose replacement following much of your advice. I didn't replace the wand connection and just used the existing connector for that end but added the scuba hose, proper loom and replaced the connector on the pack with a 4 pin clinko one, it's such a big upgrade. I'm a complete noob when it comes to DIY so had to buy literally all tools needed. So thanks again, this video has been invaluable.

Thank you for showing this. Also, thanks for showing close up how to avoid a cold solder joint and explaining that. I've seen that term before, but never an explanation as to what it is or what to do to avoid it!
I purchased your lighting kit on Etsy to modify my pack. I’ve never done anything like this before but after seeing all these mods for the pack I wanted to try myself. Your video on how to do the lighting was so helpful and my pack came out just how I wanted. Thank you. That being said, this part looks to be a bit more intimidating. Although I’ve been wanting to modify the hose and upgrade the wand speaker like I did with the pack.

What size is that Scuba hose that will fit over the hose from Charles's hose on Etsy doesn't look like it's available anymore on the website that you suggested any information would be helpful thank you
I just checked the link it's working and I could add to cart. I would just assume the inner diameter would need to be 1" to fit over the 1" outer diameter hose. It's hard to get a measurement of these scuba hoses ase they are ribbed.
If I lived near you, I'd have you do the work and pay for it.
How much would you ask for the job (hypothetically speaking)

Anyone got advice on where to get the scuba hose from but in a more movie accurate colour (green)? Also pref somewhere that ships to the UK but anywhere will do tbh.
Lots on ebay that ship worldwide. Just look up green or Olive scuba gas mask tube.

Hey ive just bought the male and female neutrik connectors
Would cutting the Negitive and postive wire that run to the sled connectors work if i just solder onto the power wires that run from the board ,or do i need to tap into the speaker wires to maintain wand sound ,i do have four pin connectors ,but i was only got to add the two wires to the pack clinko.

Yeah sadly the wand is not really DIY friendly. The pack however is great! So much room and space to work with.
Nice one! Try to do this for my pack combo. But why is the real cool stuff only available in the US? 😂 can’t even get the parts for the wand here in Germany. Sad sad. Not to talk about a 9pin version for future upgrades.

Hi just wanted to ask you if the Kinko 4-pin lp20 is that the one you're suggesting to use inside of the wand also because you mentioned the use of a two pin connector just for my understanding what goes inside of the thrower we should be the 4pin is that correct thank you
2 pin is all they had available for me to do the vid. I recommend 4 pin and higher for future mods. 2 pin for just power. 4 pin for power AND sound. Hope that helps!
Thank you very much when you order that piece do you have to order two one that goes inside the gun what piece is that called I'm going to use the 4-pin one cuz all I see is the connection on the proton pack and on the flexible hose

Idk if you linked the wrong clinko connector for the pack but i cannot for the life of me get this to screw into the holes that are already there. I know you said to screw them each a little at a time but i cant even do that, it feels like im breaking the damn thing
Nope it's correct. To do it you just get each screw threaded in by like 2 threads. Have the plate "off" and not pushed up against the pack. Then you slowly alternating from one to another and screw them down a few threads at a time each, I've so far done 5 packs and had no issues with this method. Hope that helps!
did you use the screws that came with the connector or the ones that were already in the pack?@@SquadCollector
Do I really have to go through all of this to replace the loom itself for something more flexible?
If just replacing the loom you need to cut and resolder and re glue all the factory parts (hose onto the connectors). You can use my video as a guide.
I connect everything however now my wand sound don’t work nor does my want it only stays on the switches don’t do anything everything just stays on.
is there any CNLINKO 4 Pin Power female mount connectors that exactly fit exactly on the proton pack connector mounting hole? it's just that base on this particular connector, screws will be on an angle and I just think it may damage the screw hole over time
There is not unfortunately. I've been using and wearing mine for months. Zero issues no signs of damage or fatigue. You just need to do equal increments of tightening for each screw.
@@SquadCollector tnx for the info. I have a quick question regarding your power/battery pack upgrade mod since I didn't see a video you doing it, how do you charge it and is it a 6000mah capacity? I was thinking you have a charging port by the powercell door bay but I couldn't see it
@@MarkVersion1 I didn't do a video on it as it was a long tedious figuring out process.... I wired a on off switch and a charging port and put them in the powercell door. It's a 6000mah talent cell.
I have a questions I took my wand apart the speaker t connector was not a problem. I am confused on what wires you point to use the t connector for the power I know it’s red and black , however do I just cut does wires and t connect them? From the board or do I take splice the wires and use the t connect to join them together.
You can cut them and put them in the T connector OR you can just splice them in place. Using the T connector is to prevent you from cutting incase you want to return it back to original. Hope that helps!
@@SquadCollectorit helps , so just splice them , keeping all the original connections. So all of it will still make contact so if I ever want to go back to the old hose I just plug and play correct?

I found it 36:09 right? The other 2 wires would go from the wand speaker to the pack and from the pack out to an external bluetooth speaker.

I am new to the hobbie and not sure what kind of wires I should buy could anyone help me? Also the video isn’t clear on to what kind of t connector’s were used.

I sitll have it. It's one of my faves from Sideshows Golen Age hahaha. The power adapter is 0.15A 4.5V 300MA. Hope that helps!
How much would you charge just to do the mod bc if I did it I would destroy my thrower
I can’t find the correct t shape connector to use inside the wand . I bought a couple from Amazon they where too big is there a specific word I should type to buy the right size.
There is a link in my video description for the one I used in the video. Watch the part of the video where I explain how to get it to fit into the wand. It's not simply buy and fits in. It needs to be modified. (Very easy) Hope that helps

Did you have to drill new holes to put the new connector on the pack? Because it doesn’t really line up with the original holes on the pack
No I used the existing holes. I think I explain how to do it in the video (I don't remember lol) put in all 4 screws and slowly tighten each one in increments. Don't tighten just one all the way. Hope that helps!
