I LOVE NOT YOUR MOTHER'S!!! There's absolutely a shampoo and conditioner, and I swear by them all. I always use the cream and gel together in a two to one combo because they work really well together.
My hair has always been kinky curly 🤪, I've always hated it. When it dries, I look like a white girl with a frizzy fro. Thank you for the product reviews and I will definitely try some of these.

I also noticed you worked out with your hands instead of a comb, that helps too. When curly hair is wet combing/brushing stretches the curl pattern.

It's a bit of a minefield for curly products x I just use the olaplex line with oil, then mouse and wear it piled up on my head and a few face framing curls, I'm growing it out from being bleached and broken x

I've never tried this product before but now I'm definitely going to. On another note has anyone heard that olaplex is getting sued for causing hair loss and bald spots?? I just thought that was crazy. Love your videos I binge watched a bunch of your old videos last night. I never really comment because I commented one time thinking the mannequin had a wig on and I asked what wig it was and you replied what wig? I was so embarrassed I didn't know some mannequins came with hair lol I've learned a lot watching your videos.

Crunch is good! When your hair is fully dry you scrunch out the crunch with some oil! :)

My daughter is 4 we used the defining cream on her hair and it works great for youngins hair without weighing it down or sticking a bunch of stuff in her hair! I think we will try this foam now!

i use their cream and the foam together, i put the cream on as a thin layer then go in with the foam!

Maybe you could do a video of a protein treatment, but to enhance the curl pattern. I like apHogee 2 step from Sally’s. If you apply it with scrunching the protein is supposed to help your curls re-form after bleach damage.
Also the “cast” of crunchiness from gel/mousse helps the curl to set and is actually a good thing. Once the hair is fully dry, you can use an oil to “scrunch the crunch” out of your hair, making the curls/waves soft and shiny.

Look up scrunching out the crunchy cast. It’s so satisfying and can give a fun result.
I have used this line for a long time and it is reasonably priced the shampoo they do is also awesome.

Have you tried adding products when your hair is wetter then damp? I wasn't getting much doing it on damp hair but when i started adding more water I'd get hella more waves that way

I love this haircare line. I have to apply my products to soaking wet hair for the best effect. If you use the gel and get a crunchy cast just scrunch it when its totally dry and it might just blow your mind.
I was literally just at ulta today looking at the curlsmith stuff from ur other video and couldn't do it for the price so I went over to lower price brands and saw the nice selection of not ur mothers. I got the gel to start cuz didn't think I would need the mousse but now I think I need to go get it! Ur hair turned out great

Yesss I love their curl cream! The mousse is good but it kinda leaves a residue in my hair; I have to experiment with it
Definitely plan on trying these out I used to do this sort of thing back when I was younger but have fallen out of doing it. My hair has gotten so flat and thin since then but you can still see the natural wave right after it dries. I also never had any idea how to use a diffuser before watching your videos and I've had one forever because my little hair dryer came with a diffuser attachment. Definitely need to try this soon to see if I like the results. My haircut is similar to yours so, we'll see.

I have been using the Curl Smith co wash for my second shampoo. I'll use a normal shampoo, then go in with the CS one. Its just adding more moisture to my roots, as I have some breakage. Having a bleach break for a while though.
Your hair wavy is so so pretty. But I know how much upkeep wavy hair takes. Its a whole thing!!!
I only use the CurlTalk stylers. The shampoo and conditioner make my hair gummy. But I rotate through the NYM naturals line for shampoo and conditioner.

I love the Sebastian curl shaper mousse! I haven't tried the brad Mondo wave tech but from what I've seen I've think it's very similar for way cheaper. Then I use Kenra medium hold hairspray to finish. It holds the curls without the crunch. You have bouncy beautiful curls! Love your videos Aislinn! Never get tired of seeing your face!
Looks great!!! Try finger rolling some random parts around your face to encourage the waves to fame your face
Oh and you can clip your curtains bangs in a certain shape when you are diffusing and it will hold that swoop
I use their leave in conditioner, detangler & heat protection spray for curly/ wavy hair & I LOVE IT! Just that product alone gives me the best curled ever and yes they have shampoos & conditioners but I'm low income & my hair is really damaged right now I've never had my hair tangle like it does now without that product I'd pull all my hair out trying to brush it out so I have to have it.
That is an interesting color combination you got going there, except for the hot roots which after watching for a while seem to blend in and isn't a distraction. Overall I think it looks good on you and the waves in your hair are amazing. How is the house hunting coming along? I honestly thought you might have moved to Florida, but I don't know if there's a Kroger grocery store there. Love the videos keep them coming, you are a great person.
Not Your Mothers does have a Curl Talk shampoo and conditioner. Available at Walgreens for sure. Probably Walmart, too.

I have slightly waiver hair than you and I have a hard time finding products that aren't gonna weigh my hair down! I finally have it to the point when it's wet it'll curl and when it air dries it waves with no productsbut the moment I brush its straight/wavy again even with finger detangling. And products I've used makes it crunchy and I hate that

I have wavy hair, and I’ve spent HUNDREDS. I always recommend hairitage ahead of the curl crème, NYM curl talk mousse, and Maui lightweight curls. I use the mousse or crème one at a time. I didn’t like the curl talk refresh foam personally
My hair was wavy like yours, but now I have light spirally curls. The crème and gel you used ALWAYS weighed my hair. I’ve used all the products you’ve used, and the mousse is definitely the best!!
