Helmet cleaning | MT Revenge 2 | HD

I don't like riding on a smelly helmet whether its hot or rainy the weather. So I decided I will be cleaning the spongy bits and the hard shell and take my time with it. Here's one of the times and the process I use.

Turning the helmet on the pail. And brushing it is a no no. Scratches will be everywhere

For reference, there are crevices that cloth cannot reach. I was careful enough to use two different type of brushes in order not to have any scratches. The many times I have washed it this way I have had the benefit of seeing the gleam as if new. Which type of helmet outer material does yours have?
