    It is a nice helmet, but it's also quite heavy and becomes uncomfortable after riding for a while. Also the ventilation isn't good enough for warmer climates like here in Australia

      Good points. All the LEDs + batteries add quite a bit of weight - it's the same issue similar helmets like the Lumos Matrix have. I would love to see a 400g version with the same lighting patterns though, it looks really cool in person.

      @@TheSweetCyclists It does look really good in person, I have one but don't use it because of the weight unfortunately.

      @@cyclingzen824 Same here! I love the look, but really wish it was lighter so I could ride with it more.

    Nice review...
    ...I'm considering the Xnito helmet, that happens to be far more basic than todays review helmet. However, the Xnito is equipped with a light for the both the front and rear, allowing the rider to be seen. The big attraction for me is the Xnito meets the Dutch NTA-8776 standards. The NTA-8776 standards offers a level of protection for bike speeds up to 28mph. That's important to me, I happen to ride a Class 3 eBike.
    If I may suggest, It would be nice if The Sweet Cyclists would perform a review on the Xnito helmet.

      Thanks for the suggestion. We'll see if we can get our hands on the Xnito helmet for a review. With electric bikes and faster riding, NTA-8776 makes a lot of sense.

    When you fall does it send out GPS coordinates of where you fell?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  Рік тому

      Yes. You can setup the emergency contacts on the app. As long as you have cell phone reception your emergency contacts will receive a message and location information.

    magnetic buckle seems cool but it won't fly off when you need it just is my worry

      @Makasuro Рік тому +1

      Plenty of modern helmets use a magnetic buckle, it won't fly off.

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  Рік тому

      Not sure what you're implying - a magnetic buckle or plastic buckle should not automatically open in a crash. The magnetic buckle is faster to put on or take off than plastic buckles though.

    I wouldn't be happy if the battery caught on fire on my head lol, one accident to the head could make the battery blow up possibly

      From your video - it doesn't seem like your remote is lighting up at all? Maybe you have a dead battery or you forgot to pull the little plastic protector piece it ships with that prevents the battery from draining.

    Did you know Xnito? It is rated for nta 8776? Can you make a review?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  Рік тому +1

      Yes, we'll be reviewing the Xnito helmet in the near future as well. This Unit 1 Faro is not NTA-8776 rated (i.e. a higher speed Dutch crash rating) but there are helmets like the Bern Hudson (thesweetcyclists.com/bern-hudson-commuter-helmet-review/) that do have the rating.

    Reminds me of Robo Cop. Looks like a poorly vented helmet for road cyclists?

    • @TheSweetCyclists
      @TheSweetCyclists  Рік тому

      You should see the Lazer Urbanize helmet (ua-cam.com/video/OHfmlzWr2wQ/v-deo.html) - that looks like it's out of RoboCop. Being an urban helmet this isn't nearly as ventilated as road cycling helmets, it's better suited for shorter rides or less aggressive commuting.
