Not that I was considering it, but after watching this video, I will NOT be having plastic surgery around the eye. They looked more painful/annoying than conjunctival concretions (which don’t look fun either). It was another wonderfully entertaining and educational video. Thank you Dr. Jones!
I mean, if you ever get dropped skin, which happens a lot to many people, especially elderly, I don't think you have options there. I have seen many Asian kids getting the surgery because the skin is covering their eye, and they can't see well.
Having had foreign body I think it was a bit of dried grass, in my eye and scratching my cornea and how painful that was I can't imagine those sutures. The relief for them must have been incredible. Great videos!
In English we call this suture "spitting" as the body "spits out" the suture. Often the tissue will retract or pull away from the suture if it is irritating, and this basically gives it an exit. Modern suture material that is called "dissolvable suture" is a type of plastic, and if you have autoimmune conditions you may be more likely to have your body push out the suture material. I have a few autoimmune diseases and my skin gets very red and irritated where these sutures are left in, but most people have no problems with them. The material stays in over time and provides strength and stability to the incision while the tissues heal. I love this channel for being informative and fun together. ❤

This doctor is amazing! Even without the videos, the way he works to help manage the patient's expectations, minimize discomfort, and insure a pleasant procedure, (as much as he can 😉), is incredible! As I say about doctors I respect: "He's one of the GOOD ones!"
For most of these videos I wonder how these people are unable to treat themselves. Some of these issues I can see needing help, but others is simple to resolve.

Double eyelid surgery or "Asian blepharoplasty" creates an eyelid crease resulting in a larger and more symmetric, almond-shaped eye. The height from your upper lash line to the new eyelid crease is customized to your preference and existing anatomy.
I like this guys sense of humor. He’s also super gentle, I love watching these videos. I just recently went through an awful experience with my eyes, being partially blind for almost 3 months due to severe scratches on both my corneas, good god I didn’t know eyes could hurt so bad. Having an eyelash in the eye is painful enough, so the thought of sutures scratching my corneas..ooof. Glad they finally have relief!
My oral surgeon said that the body can reject the stitches and try to push them out instead of creating the immune response needed to dissolve them. And that if it can’t force the stitch out, it may encapsulate it with scar tissue.

저런거 막상 성형한 병원에 가서 불편함 제기하면 제대로 봐주지도 않음 나도 쌍수 잘못되고 눈당김이 너무 심하고 불편해서 다 풀었는데 속이 쉬원함...눈이란 크게 보이는 게 중요한 게 아님 기능이 중요함... 성형외과 의사들은 보이는 것만 인정하고 중시하는 사람들이 많음

뎃글이 없어서 제 경험으로 말씀 드리면, 제가 눈에 뭐가 잘 들어가는 편이라 이런 경우가 종종 있었는데 안연고 바르면 잘 나았어요! 그리고 좀 심한 경우엔 눈알이 붓기도했는데 이 경우엔 안대를 했는데 하루정도면 붓기도 가라앉고 스크레치도 많이 없어지더라구용
