@SSDracer It would have been a better race if you had enabled the launch control and actually warmed up the tires with a good burnout. Just some friendly info, to enable launch control, the car most be in sport or track mode and you press the traction button two times slowly. Once you see both traction options turned off (1 light at top and 1 to the right) on the cluster, you are good to go. She will rev to 3,500rpm for launching vs something like 2,500rpm without it. Also, to get a decent burnout in the box, hold back both shifter, (which the "D" will start flashing blue) and this will allow you to rev like you would if you were pressuring in the clutch. There are a few ways to get the burnout going, once you know how to free rev it up to get her ready. I suggest you get a feel of things with this and decide what works best as you as far as burnouts. You could always launch control in the burnout box too. Great car! I love my C8!
@@christiant.1113 Oh boy, a "but the price" guy. 🙄I'll remember that the next time Im in my wife's Blazer and I get smoked by a Vette...."yeah, but that idiot paid twice as much as I did!" First of all, used NSX's and used Vette's are only about 30k apart. Second of all, with the insane ADM people were paying for Vette's not so long ago, the new vs new difference was probably the same 30k or maybe even less. Third of all, and most important, in drag racing "only" should never be placed in front of 3/4 of a second. That's an eon. Especially in an 1/8 mile. Extrapolate that out over a 1/4 mile and that's over a 1 second difference. Roughly 10 car lengths, or 150 feet.
Damn!
He even treed you. That never happens! Great race.
Thanks for the support! 👍

Too bad it's no nsx.
I fell asleep at the lights once also!!
1/8 mile strip. Wonder what the pull would have been on 1/4 mile?
Wondering how the e-Ray would stack up? It being AWD and all.
If both the NSX and E-Ray were stock, the E-Ray should win.
Wasn't expecting that from the nsx. Great race. Thought the vette would get him out of the hole.
The NSX is four-wheel drive, and has electric motors for the front wheels, and you thought the vet would get them out of the hole?
Ya I did. C8 is quick from holeshot. But that nsx was impressive! Whoa! Nice race.
Nsx
You do know the NSX is modified and not stock, don't you??
Even if launch contol did kick in 😂😂😂
Bad timing?
I mean it’s an nsx
Its quick but also he jumped
Yea he did. Maybe by a millisecond
Na his reaction time was better lol
dude I almost had you lol from movie
You never had me. You never hard your car 😆
I mean not surprising
There is no tune in 2018 NSX only piggyback.
I'm sure the Corvette lost that's why the caption is "Tuned NSX"
Wow shocker. You mean the car that costs 2-3 times as much, AND is modified, won??? You don’t say…
I mean it didn't win by too much considering the nsx is 4wd, and he said launch control for the c8 didn't kick in.
Keep crying clown!!😂
@@christiant.1113 Almost 3/4 of a second and 15 mph in the eighth is 'not too much?' lol
@@Boblib1970 for roughly about a $100,000 more he only beat him by 3/4 of a second. Even with the advantage of 4wd.

Those two cars are tacky cars. They both are so much fun doing laps at the track.
AWD hybrid put out 600hp. There’s no way that camero will keep up
It’s tuned so it’s probably making closer to 700 especially if it’s on e85.
