A suggestion: Can you spend a little time speaking about the remotes that come with these boxes, as to how well they work with the TV. It's a big plus when the remote can also control basic TV functions (on/off, volume, change input).
I have the original A95X box with 1 gb RAM and 8 gb ROM and I see this one has the same issues as the original . I now own the TOX1 gb RAM and 32 GB ROM and it works a lot better than the A95X . Next in line is the NVIDIA SHIELD PRO. Thanks for your reviews !!

My son woks in the film industry and i will never put his job in risk. I know what this boxes can do , but I use them legally. Hey man the thirst is real. I don't know why they would invest in a box and not focus on firmware features to satisfy their customers. Firmware updates can fix most of those issues but that a sore point for most of these models.

There is no issue really, only that it's not the mobile version of the play store, it's the Android TV version that's limited in what apps are available. This means if your app is not available on the Android TV version of the play store you would have to sideload your app via APK using a pen drive.
I'm wondering if you suing the app Screen Rotation Control, if the Portrait settings is still active after reboot? Or do you to set the rotation after each startup?

The app needs permission 'display over other apps'. On 1 box it says this permission is not possible because it is locked for performance saving? The othe box didn't complain, but it didn't work on neither box. So I think I need a box with build-in rotation function. Preferable 4GB/32GB, Atuntu score 70000-100000 will do fine. FHD is OK no special sound. Not to expensive, Android 11 if possible, can you advice a box? the Uugo X4 maybe? But that isn't widely available?

(No netflix…) Optical audio output, possible usb 3.0 input I had x96max 4gb 64gb s905x2 It was good, but needed to be restarted every time before movie playing. Is x96max still best budget tvbox and should go with s905x4 or there is something better for my conditions and money 50-70$. Tnx
If you are looking at S905X4 Android 11 then I suggest at your price range the Uggos X4 Pro a great option. It can be powered by USB ideal for connecting to the projector without wires for the power adapter.

I have no idea why Amlogic keeps releasing android tv boxes that can only install 32 bit abi’s. It’s 2022. How is it that the RPI4 is still king after almost three years? I know. Because Amlogic is outdated. It’s crazy that I can install dolphin mmjr and aethersx2 on a three year old sbc capable of operating android 12 interface. I have a khadas vim 3 and it’s cool except for that darned 32 bit mode line in instruction set smh. Blessings
I only ever tested one box with a touchscreen monitor and that was the Ugoos AM6B-Plus and it worked. I can't speak for any other box because I have not tested that feature.
That is because SOC manufacturing is down for the last couple of years affected by COVID and other financial factors. So when Amlogic releases a CPU every brand jumps on it. Now I don't mind that, but distinguish yourself from the others via firmware features.
I appreciate your efforts , you explain everything to a tea but I would like to know why most android boxes don't have any new updates for them other then the one it comes with from the manufacturer , if there is a possibility my friend that you could contact me there are some questions I would love to ask you for advise. The reason why there is no updates is because of the rate at which they manufacture boxes. They change models so frequently, their R&D department cannot keep up because creating and trouble shooting firmware takes a lot of time. The AIDA64 app makes that error sometimes. Rest assured the box is not rooted.

Then you need to a 64bit TV box such as the Ugoos UT8 for that provides root access for the Mantis app
