THIS IS AMAZING THANK YOU GOR YOUR AMAZING INSIGHTS!
What is the best way for a charity to get better value through a dealership?
Thanks
Awesome info. However, isn't important to actually test drive and physically see the car before buying instead of negotiating everything on-line? Now, I just did my last car purchase that way and thankfully, things went fine. However, doesn't one take a risk of bait and switch or misrepresntation?
Looking for a car now. The problem I see is people thinking their car is worth so much more bc they added mods. To me, it is not worth more as stock is always better. The annoyingest posting is "make me an offer" or "testing the market" and "looking for trades". We know u want the most money u can! Just tell us what is ur price! Also, will be selling my mother in laws car soon. It seems like a no brainer to be transparent. I want more than the dealership will offer and the buyer wants it more less than the dealership will sell. We meet in the middle and both will be happy. I took a post grad class at Kellogg School of management and they taught us that the goal of business negotiation is not for u to "win". Its to find the best outcome for u and the other person across the way. Everyone has to make a living and everyone wants to save money. It was surprising that a business school had that kind of mentality. In class, we all were getting ready to beat the other person.
If you have a 10-year-old car, would you do minor body work (dent on the lip of the front driver wheel well) and replace the trunk lid? (Ford Taurus trunk lid inside got rusty along the welds inside the lip below the logo most likely from the NY snow)
love your soresto dog
A couple of points and a question;
a. (As you have noted before) remind sellers that mods and add ons usually cannot be added to the price and often DETRACT (though I have gotten some great deals on parts when owners remove mods and return the car to stock)
b. You may have to deal with DIMINISHED VALUE, a byproduct of carfax when a damaged car is now worth less than before and that amount is measurable.
Question; Should you, as many folks do when posting pictures, be the honest person and show closeups of the flaws, the chips and dings or does that actually detract from the potential sale?
This video is a goldmine of information!
Lol, this all extremely common knowledge
Can u do one on lemon law
I have bought an owned over 29 cars an trucks an suvs an I can say out of 29 at least ten were dirty an it didn't bother me at all to clean them my self an save a few bucks plus i work I my own cars so I am not afraid to get my hands dirty
I don't deal with newer cars. Just starting out but I'm focusing on 2000 and older vehicles, hopefully with some sort of intrisic value. I fix them up, clean them and try to make a profit. It's a whole different business than selling newer used cars for sure.
Buy my car plz
This isn't how to sell a car...this is how to list it.
Anyone know if Mike’s Car Store is still in business? I miss the great videos.
Great video, quick question, when negotiating for a new car when do you break the news to the sales rep that you are only going to pay no more that $100 for Doc Fees?
Pay no doc fees. It's a made up fee just more money for the dealership
@@glenshepard6960 thank you
@Michael M you are welcome. The FTC has cracked down on dealerships with new laws in the past few years. Doc fee was originally allowed to send paperwork to the state. All done electronically now. But dealers keep these charges to fill their pockets. The last vehicles I've purchased were from dealerships that don't charge doc fees. If it were mandatory, they'd have to collect it also. Not mandated. Those are usually the most honest dealers to deal with.
Car gurus is worth it, mainly to see how long its been on the lot. Pictures, omg you nailed it on that one!
Great video Mike, you nailed every single one of the gripes that I have when looking for cars.
Thanks my dude!
Mike i need you to convince my wife that buying an euv bolt in worth it with the CVRP and fed credit incentive.
Hello Chevy,
Greetings!
I am currently working on a software for car dealers, and would want you to be top user without a cost.
Please, what are some of the problems you face with customers success from cars?
Looking forward to hear from you.
I got a Jeep I’m trying to sell and it sucks. Kelly blue book says 10k but Jeeps are modified so much there is nowhere to list the lift, winch, 37 inch tires, etc …it’s not just worth the flat price they say.
this is why i just trade mine in
I love dirty cars I get them cheaper lol. I have all the professional detail supplies and will flip them usually for 1k-2k more the same day.
Dang where did he go? Its been a year for an upload
All I get is scammers asking for me to go to their website and send a COV 🙄.
Mucho better
i have a car for sale but i live in Hagerstown Maryland
What does trim mean?
In a Chevy Equinox (My Vehicle) . Trim level base is LS. then move up to LT then RS then Premier. That is an example of Trim. The higher the trim the more expensive the vehicle is.
@@Stu-Berman So it's the level of a brand name in a class of cars and how they are rated and priced accordingly?
Thank you.
@@dselectroshock1010
Correct
If the car runs well I wouldn't negotiate a cheaper price having a problem with it. It's about saving money.
Private sell yourself, or even CarMax gave me top dollar for my car for a Ford fusion I was pleasantly shocked! With 38k miles on it I got more then I paid for it win n win 😉😁
If the car is kept clean it shouldn't need detailed. Keep it clean and pocket the cost of a detail. Details aren't cheap.

Will you buy my car? 2009 C6 corvette
I've sold a lot of cars on my own. The last three I've sold to carvana and have gotten much more than any other way.
Carvana offered me $80 for a jeep that sold easily for $3500
@@dylanmerritt3396same. Carvana offered me $300 for a car worth at least $5K.
Carvana was just the lowest by almost 10k for my car...
They offered me the lowest price out of all the ones I tried.
Sold 2 cars on my own. And carvana and carnax were THE WORSE . i made $3800+ more on each car so do not trust ANY DEALER.
It’s amazing how terrible people are at selling their cars on Facebook. Idk how people are so dumb. It’s SUPER simple to sell anything.
0:25 Drunk?
wheres the honda
I buy a dirty car if I want to chisel them and flip the car. ;)
Caravan is a joke when it comes to price offers
Isn’t all this knowledge just common sense ???
Nope. Just like thousands of people check a box on the title each day that brands their title and they instantly lose 50% of the value Because of this mistake.
Yes common sense for sure
This is the rip off artist that use to call himself Chevy Dude. He was fired for sexual harassment.
CARVANA is a joke for what they offer!!!!
This guy has some issues. He attacks every single negative review on his google page as being fake. And he even outs peoples personal information on some of those reviews. I know that he has even had legal issues relating to reviews and harassing people who don't leave a good one. As a business owner in the auto industry myself, I am aware fake reviews exist and can be frustrating. But you have to be open and willing to accept criticism. No business is perfect and listening to your customers is vital to improving. I highly doubt this guy is able to make it in his little location in Georgetown. Car dealers in this market have been decimated and he is more of a car salesman, not a car dealer owner.
It's still good advice so what do I care lmaoo
Like sell that care and get some therapy homie its none of my buisness
