    Crazy it has the same battery size as a small battery Nissan Leaf.

      They probably aren't letting the driver fully charge the battery. It is common especially in PHEVs to leave a large reserve section of the battery. That said, the Range Rover is obviously far less efficient than something like a Leaf or Bolt or Model 3 etc.

    I think the new Range Rover designs look very good. With all these over complicated designs coming from the likes of BMW and others it’s refreshing to see a clean and sleek looking design.

    Would love to see you compare this to the 2024 Cayenne E Hybrid, especially as far as hybrid smoothness and performance. The 2024 will have 40 more HP, but a smaller battery.

    this has the same battery size as my 2020 ioniq ev, and my ioniq gets 170 miles of range with that battery. Kinda nutty how this battery is for a phev

    Hey Alex, I'm in the bay area, and was genuinely interested in one of these, but every dealer I visited said, Land Rover has completely canceled all allocations of both the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover plug in hybrids! None of them gave me an explanation, but said they're even canceling orders placed last year. They also said they're not even entertaining orders for next year... any clue whats going on?

      My cousin ordered a range rover long wheelbase early last year and has been still waiting to get a delivery date. Finally, she canceled her order and is ordering a Rivian R1 S instead. Cannot bode well for Jaguar Land Rover as a auto manufacturer.

      Mine came a few months before initial estimate. It could also be that my dealer just happened to have some order coming and it just happens to match most of my features .

    Great review. I have one coming in; it is on the boat now. I found a 2023 Range Rover Sport Autobiography P440e for sale in Varesine Blue (like this one) with the Caraway/Ebony interior. I can't wait. I did drive a Dynamic SE and the drive and ride are great and the seat comfort is amazing. I trust your reviews as I think you always do a spot-on review. Thanks again.

    JLR's parent company Tata motors has a 'long range EV crossover' in India with nearly same battery size. It's called Tata Nexon EV Max that can do nearly 200 miles of real world range.

    I just checked inventory and as of mid September 2023 there are exactly 36 of these available in the USA. That's right, in the entire country. And one or two dealers that actually had one added a 'dealer pack' or some such nonsense of huge amounts. Nope, might be an ideal if expensive PHEV, but you'll not find me paying these prices and taking whatever color they have. Moving on to next best.....

    Too much money for me. I test drove a Land Rover about 5 years ago. It was nice but I didn’t think it was worth the $70K MSRP. Only two tiers of seats. I wanted a 7 passenger for the grandkids. The Nissan Pathfinder has been a good fit and at half the price.

  • @FuncleChuck
    @FuncleChuck Рік тому +3

    HORRIBLE. Less than 50 miles on 38 kWh?!? That’s absolutely trash - less than 1/2 of the efficiency of an Ioniq 5.
    This is Hummer EV level bullshit. Hard pass.

    • @emoney1231
      @emoney1231 Рік тому

      I agree, but... It's not far off the Mazda CX-90 phev or the Jeep phevs efficiency. From what I found, this is 50 mpge, and Mazda and Jeep are 49-56. I find poor efficiency slightly more acceptable in an ultra-luxury off-roader than those other vehicles.

    • @carolford4656
      @carolford4656 Рік тому +1

      This is a plug-in hybrid..Ioniq5 is a 100% EV..there in NO comparison with the two.... RRS 440e is by far the best range PHEV model out there. I have been doing a lot of research on the PHEV's and this one is the best.
