Got my GED. Went to tech school. They had classes for those who didn't score high enough on entrance exam. I have two associates degrees from tech, one certificatation, and one bachelors. Bachelor degree was maybe $20,000. Because I had so many credits. Had a business with my first husband who passed away. You don’t need a GPA for most community colleges. Because they accept ppl with GED. Most freshman come with a 2.0 because that’s the requirement to graduate high school.
I dropped out of HS. Got my GED. Took a college placement test because I didn't take the SAT/ACT. I got into a community college transferred to major Uni. All on my own with no scholarships or loans.
You absolutely need either a gpa or placement test with ged for most community colleges

Jamesha is dead wrong about qualifications to go to community College. Yes, the brochure will say you need a certain GPA, but it's not actually true. If you sunlit go and sign up for class, they don't even ask what your GOA was. How do I know? I went to community College simply by signing up BEFORE I graduated high school, and when u did graduate high school, I had a 1.5 GPA, was accepted to University of Tomei, had a 1.3 GPA they're and went to community College the next year, no quotations asked. Anton is absolutely right, ppl make too many excuses.

I went to Saint Louis Community College in 2000. I was a Junior in High School with a 1.5GPA. The plan was to drop out of HS get my GED. Then my Mother got me into an Algebra 2 class and I got an A while in class with students twice my age. I was 16. Later I decided to graduate HS went to North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND…later transferred to Pasadena City College. In Jan of 2003 I signed a full scholarship to play football at Ohio University.

I’ve never heard of a junior college denying anyone You may have to complete remedial classes to get up to speed but you won’t be denied because of your grades from high school. Years ago I’ve seen pple come out of HS and attend with GPAs under 2.0.
