- Bengaluru, also spelled Bengalooru, formerly Bangalore, city, capital (since 1830) of Karnataka state, southern India. Bengaluru is one of India’s largest cities. It lies 3,113 feet (949 metres) above sea level, atop an east-west ridge in the Karnataka Plateau in the southeastern part of the state, at a cultural meeting point of the Kannada-, Telugu-, and Tamil-speaking peoples.

One of your best routes. Masterful. So many aspects to the walk, covering such a wide variety of street life. The full spectrum, from muslim, catholic to hindu areas, market streets of all descriptions, poor and privilidged. Not too much traffic. The changing of the light under those trees. In and out of bustling streets and peaceful suburbs at the perfect times. Thank you for taking us around with you in that camera. A pleasure to be carried along in your lens. My eyes will be peeled for more India!!! Would you share where you think you might go next? I'll be watching anyway!

Thanks, Keezi for this video. I found this channel in 2013, and have seen places through your camera lens that I have never seen before. So thanks again. Ive been living in Bengaluru/Bangalore, Karnataka since 2006. Not proud of the fact that I haven't yet picked up Kannada. But the people here have been kind and accomodating me with my broken Hindi and English. I don't see myself looking to move elsewhere in India as I have work here and its become my 2nd home. I am from Kerala, a southern Indian state.

So Ive got a job in Whitefield. I have found my pg in pattandur which is 5km from my office. I am thinking of walking to save money and also exercise. How long do you think will take to cover 5km in Blore

@@harshsingh4800 does the bus start operating early in the morning? My job starts at 8am. And I was confused if I will get bus from pattandur to epip zone. I have not relocated to Bangalore yet.

I try to watch all your videos. They are very informative. Thank you for them. In this video, I was surprised that the markets do not sell coffee beans. Popular coffee varieties are growing in India. It is quite strange to observe that coffee is not sold anywhere.
There are coffee shops and coffee is available in all hotels and made at home too routinely.
If you go deep in the streets, it is ugly and depressing. Only the blind live there, as they can't survive their eyes open.

People in Bangalore and Madikeri like to buy Toyotas, Hyundais and Hondas rather than Maruti suziki, tata or Mahindra. In Telangana its opposite we buy lot of Mahindras and Tatas along with suziki.

Its funny how these europeans pick the worst locations in south asia to do a walking tour and when it comes to europe, they pick the best tourist locations. Their biasness will never end.
All start from my hostels. Who are in the same price range. Its you who do not regonize the worst places in Europe . They just happen to look like the best tourist spots in india

Most of Indian cities are better than old Delhi. Even in my state a less known city will be better than old Delhi in cleanliness and some other aspects. Leave aside cities many villages of india are better

@@JitzyJT My point was he specifically chose to walk through those areas as the purpose of his video was to show the viewers the negative side of the country. He did that in other Indian cities as well. No doubt that place looks dodgy as hell.

Mumbai is the most developed city. Bangalore is probably the 2nd best. It's hard to rank really. Some cities are good in some aspects and other cities in other aspects.

@@gaosunibu Well that's because Keezi walks through random parts of each city and therefore the perception might be different for outsiders. As you know, every city has a developed region and some areas that are not so developed. Where he walks through might have influenced your perception.
Mumbai has more sky scrapers than any Indian city and it's the commercial capital of India. But its development is also its bane as many poor people from outside start migrating to the city looking for work and therefore you might see more slums. Bangalore is the IT hub of India, but it's public infrastructure is not so great. Chennai is the manufacturing hub of India but it lost out to Bangalore in the IT boom. Delhi has a bit of everything, but has immense pollution. So each city has its pros and cons.

Actually india has both modern planned side & old unplanned side in every metro cities...Most of un planned dirty streets are constructed at british indian period as well as modern streets & area are build by democratic indian government for business - trade areas.....India needs atleast next 20 years to eliminate the over all 21% poverty & improve infrastructure...
