Short answer to the thumbnail, yes we need it , but not in 2024...i would like one in 2025/2026 when it's actually complete with amazing quality, campaign, and zombies with an unheard amount of content with 0 micro transactions.
I just want a call of duty that honors those who die in combat and show us civilians the true reality and grit of war. Not shity skins or bad stories of constant remakes.

Step 2: follow the old adage of if it ain't broke don't try to fix it.

See, my biggest issue is that the Black Ops series has extended its stay, and has tried to stay relevant.
Take the MW franchise for example, we technically have 2 versions of the series: old and new (reboot). As such, they dont really conflict with one another as they are technically their own series. And yet, the Black Ops franchises is trying to convince us that everything is connected when it really shouldn't. Black Ops 1-3 should be its own universe, 4 had no campaign, and Cold War should be its own universe (and if it wants to be connected to the MW franchises, thats fine)
Ign have spent the last few weeks criticising Microsoft for buying companies and then laying off staff. Nothing else to say really.
