Part of Farley's genius is that as out of breath as he was cuz he was out of shape, obviously, he knew how to use it to his comedic advantage. To me that's a huge talent and a testament as to his greatness. Rest in peace, man. You sure as hell are missed.
Could not agree with you more. Especially Hartman probably the most underrated cast member ever on SNL. I'm still shocked that news radio wasn't more popular than it was because that cast and especially Hartman was just genius.
Even the newest generation of kids think he is hilarious. This is not common as generational drift usually occurs. He helped me through my depression many times.
I know the real Matt Foley. Father Matt, actually. They met in college and were friends till Chris' passing. Two very different men stayed best friends through it all. ❤🙏🏼
I'm not really sure what's more priceless; The skit itself or the fact that Chris Farley got to yell "Shut your cakehole!" to multiple Oscar-winning actress Sally Field
@ Vinicius you'd lose that bet ole buddy...Him being found dead after 18+ hours in a pool of his own vomit after having O'D on drugs, booze and physical exertion of having an orgy with a prostitute wasn't going to get him through the Pearly Gates of heaven... Probably bc to a kid he is almost borderline scary. Imagine a giant fat dude five times your size screaming in your face, I'd be a bit nervous even if someone had reassured me beforehand it was a comedy bit.
2:50: It's Rudolf the Elf LOL. It has always killed me the way David Spade gets up with that serious look on his face, like he's going to deal with the situation, dressed in that ridiculous elf costume.

OMFG!!!! Chris Farley was truly a comedy genius, in the mold of other greats like John Belushi and John Candy!! All of them sorely missed but always loved by their fans. RIP guys!!!!
Both Phil and Chris gone way too soon....such unbelievable comedy talent. When I saw Sandler in concert recently he sang a song he wrote about Farley that was so touching it made me cry. Keep the ones you love in your heart, always.
The kid in the red hat was trying so hard not to laugh and it looks like Chris saw that and gave him that little shake like he was trying to get the kid to crack. The kid held it together like a champ.
Whoopty freakim doo! An extension of la dee frickin da! It wouldn't be a Matt Foley skit without him crashing your breaking into something so I loved it when it came crashing down the chimney. He rode a stationary exercise bike through a wall, fell through family homes window and busted up some Mexican hacienda pretending to be a bullfighter. One of the best recurring skits ever on SNL. We miss you so much Chris. Thanks for all your Joe you brought to us and laughter. R i p.
@@kaio7671 Yeah, MAtt Foley is one of the greatest skits ever. There was also a skit from 1992 with some guy who was a very homosexual self-healer who was corrupt. Phil never breaks character. I don’t even think he was capable of doing that. He was that good. He and Farley were some of the best to ever do it in my generation. Wish they were both still with us here today. ❤️
He broke character every so briefly as Bill Clinton gorging on McDonalds burgers in a 1992 skit. Phil really did bite off ore than he could chew and choked for just a second, and laughed at it.

Yes, in fact Chris Farley encapsulated the whole idea of comedy; for people to look at themselves and life and not take it all too seriously.
Cocaine. Also cocaine.
He didn't hold back none,That was all him and that's why he was so good.
He was fat but surprisingly athletic
He was a master of delivery. He could take material that wasn't that funny on its own and make it gut busting hysterical with his insane delivery.
RIP Chris Farley (1964 to 1997) and Phil Hartman (1948 to 1998)

Very funny sketch! R.I.P. Phil Hartman and Chris Farley.
if they had made a movie based off this character it would have been a huge hit. such a shame tho Chris Farley left this world way too soon.

Every now and again someone like Farley is sent to earth to remind all of us that laughter is healthy and should take precedent in all our lives.
