    I think it is safe to say that we don’t watch to see you try a bunch of different lures and techniques. We watch because or the joy you bring to fishing, the relaxing way you talk about the trip to us…to me it is a reminder of why I need to fish more often and enjoy the adventure. Keep doing what you do, fishing how and what you want to fish, and we will keep joining you for the trip.

    IMO, this is the best time to fish Smallies. This video sure brings back some good memories. Walleye fishing in rivers at this time gets crazy good too.

      It literally is. I fish this river alot and the smallmouth act like they have never seen a bait which they really havent seen many.

    Around the 5:30 or so Smallmouth - he didn't even let the lure get wet before he hit it. That was neat!

    Every time I watch your channel I still cannot believe how big of small E’s you catch. And top water at that!! I am a western trout guy, but small mouth are my favorite fish. So hence this is one of my favorite channels. Good job! Really entertaining and super jealous

    Such a healthy fishery you have. And a great batch of content as always. We have some herring lakes in Maine and grow some fatties that have love handles.. You should check it out some time.. :)

      The biggest one I’ve ever weighed was 6-2. I’ve wanted to get a replica of it but I keep telling myself one more year to try to catch one bigger.

      @@ndyakangler I was lucky to be in the boat as the net man to bag the biggest smallie I have ever seen in person. My Dad, Uncle, our dog Bluto and myself were in northern WI on a big lake and my uncle hooked up on a 6lb2oz... after an epic fight "classic smallie fight" she swam away healthy and we have a beautiful replica mount.

    great fish. we had our kayaks out yesterday, worm fishing, gills, sun fish and a 8" large mouth. great afternoon. first time my wife was out fishing in a yak. she really enjoyed it.

    After experiencing top water action with the Whopper Plopper, hooking up on only 12" & 13" bass (oh and my PB pike), i am almost at the point to where I only want to fish on top water with the Whopper Plopper. Now there's fishing season and then there's top water season. Love it as always good sir.

      Yeah if they’re hitting the Plopper it’s about as fun as fishing gets and it’s tough to switch over to anything else! It’s what I’d have tied on the majority of the time if I didn’t want to switch it up to keep the videos interesting.

    Tried out the Plopper this summer and this is the first fishing season where ive actually had success with top water. The fall Northern have been crushing the top waters lately

    Hey. I got out to mille lacs sat. Three hours of casting and caught one fish. But oh boy what a fish. 21 inch. Soo nice. When it hit I thought I snagged a rock until it ran.
