Variety Unbound Event Invitation

Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis is thrilled to announce a new event, Variety Unbound: An Evening of Empowerment. The event, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at The Factory, will be a celebration three years in the making. All proceeds will go towards empowering children and teens with disabilities with access to Variety’s critical programs and services.
True to its name, Variety Unbound will offer attendees a chance to break free from limitations, both those surrounding the pandemic and those that are often placed on children and teens with disabilities, whom the event benefits. Tony Award-winning actress Ali Stroker will host, and Variety Kids will be featured through their stories as well as several performances.
As host, Stroker will share her inspirational story of turning her limitations into opportunities to become the first actress in a wheelchair to win a Tony Award, which she received for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as ‘Ado Annie’ in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!
Paralyzed from the chest down since age two, Ali has fought through overwhelming adversity. Despite often appearing on stages with limited accessibility, she has been a trailblazer in an industry that has been slow to embrace performers with disabilities.
In addition to the program, Variety Unbound will offer attendees a cocktail hour and sit-down dinner, as well as the chance to empower Variety Kids.
