If you notice, instead of a lot of the small 3 string or 2 string power chords that other bands do, he's doing full fukken 5-6 string bar chords.
This means all six strings are being played or are reverberating basically all the time. Gives a lot more fullness and lets him get away with no basist.
(Also I think he downtunes to reach into the bass register, so he's pulling extra depth from there)
(Also I still think a basist on top of this would be nice, but you gotta do what you gotta do to get by.)
