We have 1 acre of land over there. We have already built first 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. We just bought floor tiles and toilet seats last three weeks. So hopefully by November 26th the first 4 bedrooms will be completed for me and my wife and our 2 kids

Amaka, you are amazing, unbelievable! I am Nigerian and I lived in Tamale for a year out of a total of ten I spent in Ghana. I enjoyed my stay in Tamale. I recall the greetings - Densba (morning), antréé (afternoon) and anumwula (evening). The response in each case is Nnaa! You bring back my memories of Tamale. I tried to pick a bit of Dagbani but it was not easy. I lived in Kukuo and recall other parts of Tamale - Sakasaka quarters, Russian bungalows, Vitting, Naa Luro Estate, etc. But Amaka, don't tell me you live in Tamale!

That’s the type of sponge that I used when growing up in the village. Tamale is not even a village. Tamale is a city. It so happens that in all cities across the globe, there exists twilight zones. She chose one such area to demonstrate life in a village. Village life is incredibly sweet and you have to live it to believe in it.

You have found your niche and your voice I hope your subscription goes up, this is really a life lesson, we have been made to believe that we need a lots of things to make a living, but we don't. We get all this stuff and yet we're unhappy and stressful.
I remember passing by villages on my way from Tamale to Larabanga. I would see the children in the village playing and having fun. I snapped a few pictures just to remember. It was awesome seeing how simple yet beautiful life was for the people
The sponge reminded me so many things, not only in the village. I was living in the city and that was what my mum used to bath me, now we can't find it anymore. We easily forget good things our grandparents thought us and jump to something that we don't know. The sponge and wood tooth brush was the best. We should go back Africans (sankofa).

But, if you choose to live a simple life, like what she shows in the video, with work that does not need the Internet, then you won't have any issues. My old office in East Legon, Accra we had 4 different Internet modems in the office so that if one drops the signal, we had another to use. Our clients were all in Europe or the U.S. so we had to stay connected.
