Let us black naturals teach you the right way. You should have first dampened your hair. 2, you should have used a cream moisturize to set it, then 3, did your bantu knots. You should have also worn a scarf to bed to protect them from the frizz of rolling around in the bed. Then when you take them apart in the morning, you would've had some lovely ass results. They need to air dry under your scarf to hold their lovely curl forms.

you need longer hair so just wait for another few days or weeks, also you should dampen condition your hair before the knots to soften it and make it easier for twisting, as most curly hair people have soft hair

Pretty much, if you get a silk pillowcase or a silk bonnet for sleep it will help make them last longer, a few days maybe till it gets too frizzy. Keep scrunching it and it should keep looking curly. But as soon as you put water in your hair it will go back. Even with a regular pillow and no bonnet you will still be able to have them last probably a day and a night and another day. Maybe another night. But regular pillows, that aren’t silk (I just remembered, satin also works but isn’t as smooth as silk) and regular fabrics will mess up the hair faster. You will also get fast at putting the curls in. It won’t take you very long after a few times of doing it.
Actually I have a regular pillow and I’ve had my hair last for like three days but then by then it gets tooooo messy and frizzy and the curls start getting crushed and what not 😭. Btw this ain’t me in profile pic lol my hairs short 😂

In a damp climate, once you get your hair curled, it will come out very fast because of the dampness in the air. It's all about the moisture!

My dog has waves now.
My hair is literally straight as a board and if you want wavy hair but not super curly I learned something I figured this out by accident one day. Wet your hair, but not dripping wet just enough water, and twist your hair and hold the coil balled up for maybe 1-2 minutes and move on to the next lock of hair. If you're short on time, don't wet it, just put your hair in the coil with a rubber band and used a hair dryer with fairly high heat on one coil at a time. This will give you medium curls or really good waves, and once your done style how you want.

We do it in a salon a lot! This is a "quick set" and does work --- because of the natural moisture content of hair.

Helpful tip: dont break apart the natural shape of the curls. As you untie them, leave them as they are, puttin ur hand through ur hair makes everything messy and itll look frizzy. I suggest leaving the curls in their original shape and shaping ur hair from the sides/ back with the product if necessary. Good luck on your next go! ❤️👌🏻
