Thanks mate, I've enjoyed using both the mk1 and MK2, they are awesome kayaks no matter which one you choose, you can't go wrong. I've order some stabilisers from kayak 2 fish and will be doing a video on them in the next couple of weeks
Thnx for the review. I wish your review started at unpacking the kayak... I got mine yesterday and run into few small issues. Just for the record I will mention them here, perhaps will be useful to someone. 1- Rudder assembly didn’t have the locking pin installed and become undone completely while installing. It took me a while to figure this out as I have never had rudder before. I used a ss screw - lucky I had one just the right size. Also there are 3 bolt holes on the left plastic cap, mine did not have any screw on them either. Not sure whether it must be bolted or optional, i did it anyways just to make sure. I used small ss screws to secure the cap in place. Rudder washer was too tall/big. Rudder security pin could not be installed when washer is used. I had to shave off about 3mm with a file. 2. middle handle cap was lose. It did not came off but looked too flimsy. I secured both left/right caps with zipties. 3 I found 2 screws were not tight enough. One allowed a full turn and the other required 3/4 turn. I have gone through all screws to make sure they are secure. These are small quality issues and easy fixes. Otherwise i am very happy so far. Happy fishing and pls continue with ur video updates. 👍
Sorry to hear that the quality check wasn't done on your kayak buddy the only thing I could fault with mine was the rudder didn't come with a washer just the locking pin. So I just chucked an ss washer on with it. Other than that mine was all good. I know it's just been released as new model so they may still have to work out some kinks but glad to hear yours is in fishing shape.
@@OutdoorFishingLivingMission took my kayak for its first dip Sunday. Very pleased with it. Bit heavier than I am used to but very stable river boat and the high seating position is going to be great to fish from. Rudder system is not the smoothest, but will see if I can do something to improve it. Very impression is very nice.
Outdoor & Fishing Living Mission hi I am in joying your vids I just ordered a next gen 10 m2 I go around 135 kg .do you think I will be to heavy for it
Hey man I was seriously considering buying this and I was wondering a few things because your kayak is pretty modified does the seat come with the kayak, do you have to buy 2 outriggers individually and is the sunshade a good purchase cheers mate
Hi mate, the outriggers are sold seperate however definitely worth the extra. I didnt bother with the sun shelter as i was worried it would be in the way casting
Think it comes in at 30kg, still very manageable on your own and with the comfy handles it's easier to move than the old model, with the rudder it tracks nicely and doesn't push you around to bad.
Great video ..just wondering how easy it is to paddle I've just ordered one and just sold my my old scupper pro which was brilliant at long distance camp trips. I'm just hoping the next gen wont be like paddling a barge. Just thought I'd add my purchase was based on your content so great job.
I love going out in a paddle in the ngII, can feel a little bargish when its fully loaded but when you get going it tracks nicely and paddles great, im also a big guy so probably would be better experience paddling for someone a little lighter
Love the video are you going to do one on the water ? looking to get a smaller one smiliar to the 2.2 or 2.7 Osprey they have. I am short bloke so should be suffice
I tried doing one the other day, caught a bream on the $9 Kmart rod, super light weight so was a good fight. But unfortunately had issues with filming so I lost most of the footage, bugger... But going away camping this weekend up to Noosa so will be releasing some videos next week of that so stay tuned buddy
Hey mate this kayak has a storage hatch that goes the length of the kayak, so between home and the launch spots they ride shot gun in the kayak as they are safer in the kayak than in my ute tray as I usually have tools in my tray. But recently I got the outriggers and the bar goes across hatch so it's a bit hard to do that now, slight design flaw. Will do an update video of the kayak soon 👍
Bugger, the mk1 is still an amazing kayak my suggestion would be to hold on to it for a bit longer, sell it on gumtree for a little lose and upgrade down the track, it is a great kayak either way
Thanks for the review for the Mk1 and Mk2. I've just recently ordered one because of your feedback on them. Cheers

Same issue for me and my gf. Impossible to fit the washer and the locking pin to the rudder..... I might go to bunnings get some smaller washers.
Love your vids mate! Your videos have been the only thing I watch! Lol!
Just got a mkII earlier in the week. Your review was very helpful
Truely is a great kayak, I'm keen to try to get back out on the water soon, works been crazy, just trying to find the time is half the battle

Love the vid. Just bought one. Looking forward to some other vids showing options attached.
Yea anything you want to know in particular let me know
Did kayaks 2 fish buy out dragon kayaks. They look so similar. Wicked review
Not to sure about that but most of these imported kayaks look like they all copy of everyone else
Thanks for the vid! Just ordered one.
Hay mate do you think the mk2 is a bit unstable I'm 130kg and feel like I'm going to flip it thinking of getting outriggers
Definitely get the outriggers for the extra stability if your worried about balance

Missing your vids man. Hope to see you making some content again soon.
Still happy with it bloke? I'm 6'4" do you think I would fit in it?
What’s the weight for this kayak and how does it track in the wind

I think is 23kg?

I think my brother in law has the osprey from kayak 2 fish, I'll hopefully be doing a video on that in January
@@OutdoorFishingLivingMission just bought a 2.7 m kayak lol it just fits in my RAV4 haha
@@lostie1 that's lucky, let me know how you get on with the osprey, I'm borrowing my brother in law's and going to do a review on it soon
Thanks - bought a couple today . . .:-)
Great to hear hope you have as much fun as ive had in mine as you do with mine
show us how you store your rods in the kayaks because I'm scratching my head how

How can you do a short vid on it I would love to see it maybe a day in a life and feature this
Hi mate, what did you pay for this?
From memory around $900
now im sad because i bought the mk1 then this came out like 2 months later
Bugger, the mk1 is still an amazing kayak my suggestion would be to hold on to it for a bit longer, sell it on gumtree for a little lose and upgrade down the track, it is a great kayak either way
Hull is different, mate
say thanks to a lot for your internet video it helps a great deal.
Thanks for that, I love making them and when I hear I'm helping people just makes it that much more worth it, thanks buddy
