I saw Jim and Jessie in concert once and they played flawlessly and never missed a beat. They were one of my favorite blue grass duets.

My Father and I used to watch Jim and Jesse and the Virginia Boys back in the early 60s, and we had two lawn mowers that we named Jim and Jesse, what good memories this is.

Seeing this is so amazing -- it's almost like I had forgotten what great vocalists Jim and Jesse really were. At least we still have Jesse.

I enjoy the sound of Jim&Jesse😀 They are brothers, something in common with me, since I was the father of a family band💕

Performed as slick, smooth, and cool as a lick of ice cream on a warm summer's day. There have been numerous renditions of this great 1952 song, but this one stands as the version to emulate.

Keep finding these classics and I just have to comment on how fantastic they really are. All old country and bluegrass should be played for the new generation that knows nothing of true good music and give them some type of understanding for it. ..Great post Mayor!

Two great singers the older they get the better they sound its a shame that we are all getting older growing up listening too there music we are losing a lot of the great older country artists there ain't many left I personally don't listen to this new country music it just don't sound the same, my opinion.

This great Jim & Jesse performance is dated April, 1983 and the location is London, England. The banjo player is a young Mike Scott (currently with Reno Tradition) There is a still photo of the band on this stage in Mike's, Classics for Banjo book page 18 Hammer

+Mike Scott I am happy you are well and still producing great music! Just now found you and subscribed to your yt channel. I met these guys in the 70's. They were impeccably dressed, driving the cleanest old station wagon I ever seen. Just the two of them and their instruments. I was broke down on the highway in Washburn North Dakota and hitching a ride back to my motorcycle with my newly fixed rear wheel. I rode in the back with the mandolin and guitar, but still got grease and grime all over their perfect car. And they were SO gracious and friendly, that they acted like it was nothing. At the time I had no idea who they were. I would prefer that they were still here. They inspired me, and after all these years, y'all still do, and I just got started cause I ain't dead yet : )

Even after hearing this, and they are not bad, I still think the version by "The Browns" where there is Maxine and Jim Ed Brown is a better version. I think the female voice in the harmony is better than 2 males.

Never thought I'd hear a better version than the Browns. Maxine is a whole heap better looking than you boys obviously, (Sorry) but , hey man you sound mega cool,
    real cool, not pretend cool.
