What a great day in Mazatlan! The leader of the food tour looked super educated and informative! How fun to do a foodie tour there! I was hoping you'd see the sunset...blasted hill in your way, LOL!
Back in 1996, my mom and I went on the Carnival Jubilee to these ports. It was the first cruise I had ever been on and loved it. We cried on the way back to the airport because we didn't want to come back home. ( We live in Alabama)

Here’s some trivia for you: Vidanta Elegant was originally the Crown Monarch, launched in 1990 by Crown Cruise Line and she originally sailed the western Caribbean. FWIW 😎

Yes the Vidanta cruise ship is an operational ship. Members of Vidanta resorts can cruise on her. She is advertised as ultra luxury. I have never been on her. I’m a “mega” ship lover.

I did a food tour in Nassau which was very nice.
How funny! We were on the Bliss last week and when we stopped in Mazatlán we had that same exact taxi (Pulmonía) driver who took you guys from the port to old town! I know y’all were on Panorama last week too and we saw you guys pull into Puerto Vallarta that morning too! I was hoping to run into you guys in port but it was a busy day :(

Great tour! It’s too bad that this tour is only offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays because most of the Navigator sailings are in Mazatlan on Mondays
They seem to offer at least one tour option each day, though it may not be Barrio Bites. Sometimes there's a walking tour, sometimes a seafood-specific tour. Kinda cool! Maybe if we hit Mazatlan on a different day sometime, we can try another one!! :D

Thankee! All the excursions on this cruise were independent, which is typically how we roll!! :P
That wet area got me on mardi gras in jan. Fx my right shoulder in 2 places!

With your excursions…were they booked through RC or on your own?
We did a food tour in Mazatlan and did a Tequila tour in Putera Viatera. Let me tell you American tequila doesn't hold a candle to the real Mexican tequila.
how did the tour work. was the price for the tour cover the price of food? or dis you pay each at each one?

Do you recommend independent tours or tours with the ship?
We've done both! Depends on your comfort level with cruising, I suppose. We find better value on independent tours almost every single time!! :P

I am not that tech savy . I tried to download a cruise ships app , but was not successiful . HELP
The instructions can very depending on the cruise line, type of phone you have, etc. They've got folks onboard that are good at giving hands-on tech help actually, and they've been a lifesaver in the past!! :D
