The Doug Nash was an answer to the EPA. You drive it like a normal 4 speed and then use the overdrive button as a fifth gear. That's the simplest way to use it. Also, push in the clutch when pressing the overdrive button. If you're in 4th OD and want to pass someone, just press the gas pedal and the trans will automatically shift out of overdrive. When you let off the gas after passing, it'll shift itself back into 4th OD. The overdrive system is just a planetary gear unit bolted to the tail housing of a standard four-speed trans. I had an 86 with the Doug Nash, and it was fun to drive.
Epsilon wheels. Made in Japan and assembled per order in Los Angeles in the 80’s. In fact, there’s a good chance I bolted them together since I worked there back in the day. The five spoke wasn’t nearly as popular as their mesh center.

I had a 92 c4 and it was quite a good car, only having one issue, it needed a new exhaust manifold, otherwise it was flawless and reliable. I even blew a front tire off at about 125, just let off the gas and never got on the brakes. It was totally manageable and the nose never touched down. No body damage as the tire shot out the side, I was really surprised that it didn’t suffer any issues with that one..🤔😀😀 I love the wood screw in the upper left of the cluster….what ever works😜
I had a 94 C4 Manual, color was called Black Rose or something to that effect. Solid car. Only issues I had were the half shafts needed to be replaced and the Optispark, which was an expensive screw up of trying to wash down the engine. A $1000 mistake and a never do it again lesson.

Only 1596 Z51 1987 Corvette's made with all being manuals...actually pretty rare. the comments how slow the 87 is are soooo super dumm. I drive my 87 all the time here in Germany where you actually can drive fast and it easily goes up to 140/150 mph. You dont even have roads in the states where you can drive that fast. And obviously comparing a 37 year old car to a new car is just stupid. Just compare a phone from the 80s to a new one or a microwave from the 80s to a new one. Badmouthing vintage cars doesn't make you look cool.
Wheels are made by Epsilon, that hood and fuel door emblems came off of a 1988 35’th anniversary edition both are worth some money, those seats are out of the correct car. That’s just the power sport seats, 1989. They changed the design of the seat bolstering and that design stayed until they changed it in 1994 the overdrive switch for the Doug Nash 4+3 is to turn it off. It automatically turns on when you start the car each time.

I bought a non running ‘85 Vette on eBay once. Had a car dealer pick it up, it needed a battery and new ignition lock in the column.
