Still recovering from almost two weeks of straight camping but happy to share these totally camp friendly recipes. What are your fave camping recipes? Happy Sunday!
Great job! Perfect Keto meal, I might add!. My husband has lost 80 lbs and I've lost 55 lbs since January eating Keto, low carb, high fat. Meals just like this one! Yay us!
You guys are such a cute couple! I am glad you camped with friends and played and had fun. Did you know kids will remember vacations as part of their family "good times" when they are older?
Great tip about mixing the butter and oil! I’ve had to wipe out a skillet before and start over because my butter was burnt. Your demo showed how well mixing them works! Grapeseed oil is one that I keep on hand as well. Almost no taste and It doesn’t seem to go rancid as fast as other oils.
Missed you guys 💟.....our fave camping was easy ......cubed slow cooked x onion stew steak, added x thickened up beef stock cubes, bung in a Tin off baked beans x tomato sauce ,served with rough mashed potatoes x butter mmmh mmh 👍 Thank you flo much enjoyed 👌😊
Most tasty to watch! My mouth is watering and my spirit is resting beneath evergreens near a small stream. Thanks once again for sharing with all of us. Blessings to you 🙏🏼❣️
We went camping a few weeks ago. I had saved up take out chopsticks for cooking just like you suggest. Went to start cooking and discovered that while I had been on a walk my husband used them for kindling to start the campfire lol
Those rib eyes were HUGE!! Since we have been camping only once, I will tell you my favorite camping food video that made me laugh. Your ‘Manwich’ made me LOL!! 😂
Dang, that steak looks good! I have had to cut way down on red meat due to heart issues, so I have to live vicariously through Dude. Thank you for your sacrifice, Dude!
Great Steaks Guys! When Home use the Cast Iron Skillet and you will get the best Taste and a Great Scald on the steaks it puts a dark brown crust like on a Rare Medium Ribeye with Bone in. Yummy
hadn't thought about doing sous vide for our meats before camping but what a fabulous idea! I got the Joule for Christmas last year and rarely ever use it. I really need to use it more and this sounds like an excellent way to start. How long are they safe for after they are cooked?
If the cooler (ice chest) can maintain decent cold temperature and if the steaks are vacuum sealed, I’d say 3 days would be ok. If you had a fridge in your rig, even better. Be aware that depending on how you reheat the steaks, you may introduce “banding” in the meat. Regardless, sous vide steaks in the backcountry 👌🏼
You all have enough steak there to feed four or more people and I love how fine both it, and the vegetables look. Dude must love doing the taste testing for you.
Hi guys, thanks for the great video. We just purchased a new scottle last week can’t wait to use it. How did you pre-cook the meat? I’m not familiar with that.
The steaks were cooked with a method called sous vide. We use a Joule brand sous vide device to precision cook the meat to a desired done-ness, only requiring a finishing sear. Total game changer for us. Joule device linked in the description.
I use the Norwex water filtration system that uses magnesium to purify the water. Each filter is good for 100 pitchers. If you are in Canada, you can purchase at flolum.norwex.biz. In the US, you will need to find a local consultant. Thanks!

We went camping a few weeks ago. I had saved up take out chopsticks for cooking just like you suggest. Went to start cooking and discovered that while I had been on a walk my husband used them for kindling to start the campfire lol
LOL! But that is also a good use for them!
LOL. That's tragic. Did you make him fashion another set out of nearby twigs?
I can’t wait to make the veggies! They look amazing!

I think I need to add a sous vide cooker to my vast array of kitchen appliances.

Yes... we love using our cast iron at home.

I think it can last quite awhile if the bags are vacuum sealed. I had read 2 weeks for the bacon I had precooked.
Hi Flo, thanks for the video. I have a question.. if I Sous Vida my steaks, will they keep in an ice chest for 3 days for an off-road trip?
