Wow that mall Is big and empty. It looks so clean as well. Here in NYC we can only dream to have a mall like that. I could walk in there for an entire day. Looks amazing.
Hi wooow that mall looks amazing i'm from Chicago and i love shopping on Michigan avenue and wood field Mall i need to visit Somerset Collection... SOON! thank you for making this video. Judy~
That was a good video showcasing the mall. I love the skywalk; even if I don't need anything at the opposite end of the mall I always go on the skywalk for extra exercise. Somerset Collection definitely has something for everyone (except my husband complains there is no video game store)!
anyone that goes to MI has to go to Somerset. it is the best in the Midwest! one day, you must come east to the King of Prussia Mall. THAT would be a video:) thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for uploading this video. I used to wok at that mall in the past. The atmosphere still hasn't changed, even the music. I don't know if its been mentioned, but this is a High End store in Troy, MI. I'm sure there are some bargains to be had, but you got to have deep pocket to shop at the place. Cheers.
Somerset is really the best mall in the area. I live around the corner at 14 and Coolidge, and go there quite often. I also work at Starbucks at Big Beaver and Crooks, which isn't too far. Despite popular opinion, they do have great sales, such as the shoe sales at Nordstrom all the time, which makes it more approachable to those of us with smaller bank accounts, lol.
I'm not big on ice skating, so I'd have to vote for more shopping at the end of a skywalk ;) - but would also love to visit the Galleria in Houston some day. I have been to the North Park Mall in Dallas and love the ducks that they have there, LOL!! So cute!
I live in FL and have been to The Mall at Millenia a number of times and it's much smaller than this mall appears to be, parking is ridiculous so I always end up getting valet (it looks like this one has a parking garage!), and there are way fewer stores than Somerset mall. It also looks like it's a lot less crowded than Millenia which would be awesome because Millenia is always loaded with a bunch of crotchety tourists.
Almost beats the Galleria, but it depends if you prefer a skywalk to an ice skating rink. I would have to see it in person for the final verdict. Maybe one day :) Still really massive. I can see why it's your fav.
Hi Judy! Thanks for watching! Great to hear that opinion from a fellow area Chicagoan... ;) I always tell people that Somerset is my favorite place to shop, and they give me a crazy look because of all of the "great shopping here" (in IL) - but to me while there are a lot of great places in northern Illinois to shop... Somerset Collection is the complete package.
ive only been there once in my life. but im only 12 lol i live in warren so the closet malls to me are lakeside, macomb (which i do not like) and oakland. planning to go there soon though
Would love to visit King of Prussia... I've heard it is fabulous as well! Some day maybe I'll go on a mall tour of the US, how dorky is that?? LOL!! Thanks for watching! :)
ive only been to this mall once lol i usually go to oakland mall ill have to take my wife to this one lol i think she ll like it lol. you ever been to lakeside mall ???
Actually... I disagree. My dad has a vacation house in Orlando, so I've spent a lot of time at The Mall at Millennia. (You could at least get the name right if you're such a fan, lol!!) Mall at Millennia is not laid out very well, always seems to have a ton of empty store fronts, and doesn't even have a SEPHORA for goodness sakes. LAME. ;) Somerset is much prettier, laid out cooler, and has a better range of stores. :) Perhaps you should visit to see how much nicer it is...
Andrew D it’s Michigan. There is no such thing as “public transportation” here. We’re all about cars, remember? You need a car to get most anywhere here. Or you could get an Uber...
There really isn't such a thing in Metro Detroit.. it's actually one of the biggest flaws of this city. We've been trying to get something going for years..

Wow, I've lived in MI for pretty much all of my life and whenever we think of shopping we head to Chicago. I'm definitely going to visit this mall.
That was a good video showcasing the mall. I love the skywalk; even if I don't need anything at the opposite end of the mall I always go on the skywalk for extra exercise. Somerset Collection definitely has something for everyone (except my husband complains there is no video game store)!
That is one fancy pants mall!!!! You are a lucky girl to shop there.

MagicalMomentsMom Just wondering have you been to Stratford square?
Somerset Mall is the only place where you will see palm trees in Michigan.
I went to that mall before my part of the mall is the place where the water is

these malls seem to be very far away from any sort of public transport
Andrew D it’s Michigan. There is no such thing as “public transportation” here. We’re all about cars, remember? You need a car to get most anywhere here. Or you could get an Uber...
vmj255 not true... there’s numerous buses that go out to Somerset
There really isn't such a thing in Metro Detroit.. it's actually one of the biggest flaws of this city. We've been trying to get something going for years..
What is your favorite restaurant at Somerset?
my uncle built this mall
The Mall of America is a theme park. Not a proper shopping mall.
