I've only been here since this hoarder house series, and I already think you're have one of the most interesting channels anywhere! It's a combination of Hoarders and Antique Roadshow or Pawn Stars, but with a dose of good family values. I wish you much success!
Welcome! Highly recommend going backwards in time and watching the many adventures and such in order with all updates etc in between too. It's a wonderful, engaging, authentic channel- and us addicts can't get enough lol!
I by a coincidence was looking for something to watch on UA-cam and your video about the hoarder house and it caught my attention and I’ve been watching your videos since yesterday, all day and night! Good luck with your plans!!!
I’m in Montreal and know about the collapse of the Quebec City bridge. As in interesting fact for you - when engineering students graduate from university, they participate in the Iron Ring ceremony. Graduates receive a ring that is said to be made from steel from the collapsed bridge to remind them of their obligations and ethics of their profession. They wear the ring on their little finger of their dominant hand so when it drags on the paper when they work, they are reminded of its symbolism.
Man, I sure wish I lived closer. Be a blast to be able to just pop in now and then. Alex, your wholesome life and charitable maner is so appreciated, wish there were millions more of you. Thanks for the inspiration to be more like you. Love from Texas. 🇺🇸
@@grannyqute2273 I don't know that the person intended to be rude but it kinda looks that way. I've never seen or heard Alex beg for money. He appreciates support but I don't think it's required. Just watching the videos causes them to make money. Liking the videos makes him money and he has all of what he makes in his store and at auctions. I don't think he needs anyone out there telling ppl to donate. This person is definitely enthusiastic about the channel. I'm just not sure that it's all being said in a way that's very nice. Crazy!!!
I 'm so glad you found the neck to the guitar and were able to restore it. Alex, you are so good at fixing things and making them beautiful and usable again. Your son is an excellent artist! You are a hard worker and a blessed man! Such a good father and you have a wonderful family. Glad I got to know you through UA-cam, along with everyone else from your channel. Stay blessed and great luck with the auction. Your store looks fantastic. Wish I could pop in!
Bit of trivia. My brother in law designed the logo with the Chapman Kids for Chapman's ice-cream. In fact, when they still used the old boxes for their ice lollies, he used my then two year old daughter as the inspiration for the last kid on the end of the box. She still loves that and she's now 32.
Same here, and Alex's store in Edmonton is now in the Top 10 on page 1 of my bucket list (single spaced, double-sided). Will be traveling from Northern California, USA once the pandemic starts to eventually wind down.
Hi Alex, hope you see this comment. I have been in the antiques business for a long time and have restored many pieces of Oak furniture over the years. Your showcase was most likely a baker's cake display case or maybe a chocolatier's showcase. The original screws on the front would have been round headed brass. However you restore it I'm sure it will look much better. Great videos. Wishing you and your family health and happiness.
I had a great deal of fun bidding over the last couple of weeks. It was safe because I knew I’d always be outbid, but it was fun. On your display case : line it with fabric instead of painting. Cut cardboard to fit in each section, wrap with fabric and glue or duct tape it in place and fit each section snuggly into the shelves and back.
That is a nice idea. Alternatively use vintage wallpaper. I have sold a lot of vintage art-deco era wallpaper recently and people are buying it for this purpose. All sold out quickly to the US and Canada.
Thanks! ... I started picking up what I could find back in the late 80s .. I wish I had the forethought to really go after it then ! The authentic pieces are worth a fortune now , so I'm working on it and what I cant find I make lol
Truly enjoyed the hoarder house series. As a music teacher myself, she seemed to be a fascinating person. Amazing what stories people have that we may never know.
Alex, grab Melissa's hair dryer and use it on the paint on the showcase. When it gets warm, you can peel it off like tape! Much easier than using chemicals. You'll actually see the paint "let go" as it gets warm enough to release. I use a razor knife to lift the edge, then just grab and rip. Won't harm the wood, and is much easier than trying to scrape and sand.
Wow! Thanks for that hint. I hate sanding. I remember my Dad using a blowtorch & putty knife to remove many layers of paint, come to think of it. But it stank like hell & was probably toxic.
The Chameleon Bracelet is already up to $1000.00 it's almost twice as much as the Chanel Bracelet or the Hermes ring. I think you are going to do very well on just the jewellery auction.
Alex, can you take a video walk through when Madam Rac's house is fixed and ready for sale, and show a before and after, looks like it will be a great house for some lucky family.

Very talented son! My husband and mother are artists. As a child my mother would draw my paper dolls and clothing as we could not even afford a 10 cent Katy Keene comic book. My husband had a paper route so he could buy his first art easel at 15 y/o. After that goal he would take a bus downtown to the Detroit Institute of Arts. My mother has passed away but her art work is in the homes of all five of her children and their children. Same for my husband. They say portraitures is the hardest work. 😊🇺🇸
