Put Rain X or some other water repellent on the mirrors and windshield , helps alot . 👍
100% use Rain-X on both of my cars for the last 25 years. Would NOT drive without it.
That storm hit upper SC pretty hard, here in the midlands all we saw was rain. Also big shout out to all the linemen working storm trouble. My dads done linework for 50 years.
Part of knowing your worth. Is living up to your worth. Living in the upstate, we knew this storm was coming a week ago. As a former driver oh, I know how the road works. You should have taken that load straight away on Friday night.
Family first ♥️😎🙏🏽
@@JustTruckin true that. Hated to be negative, just had to make the constructive criticism. Spent long years otr and know the balancing act it takes. Just keep trucking and learning. Miss the road more than I can say brother. Raised 5 children while I was out there and it's a pull all the time. Part of the life.
I totally understand and agree family first ($10 a mile or 3 smiles) but in this industry sometimes work comes first. My old school driving mind would have made me leave Saturday morning to get ahead of the storm. I would rather have spent an extra day in truck than missed my delivery appointment, especially at a place like sysco. I've seen them hit brokers hard for missed appointments. But like I said I'm old school (29 years driving) trucking for me has been more than a job, it's been a lifestyle.
You are such a loving Dad, it's so nice to see. Your kids reaction to you coming and going speaks volumes.
Watching how some of these southern states handle and react to a little snow always cracks me up
Thanks again Justin, taking us on your trip. Your videos are always so personable. You show us what hard work and dedication brings. Stay safe out there my friend. Blessings to you and family.
Come to Nova Scotia we go 20 inches of drifting snow. Some drifts 5 feet high. I plowed snow for 40 hours in two days.
I know this is not going to be a popular comment but I feel it needs to be said. Justin, you constantly tell o/o's to know their worth but there is a flip side to that. Show your worth. You signed a contract for a certain rate per mile as well as pick-up and delivery times. You knew what the weather forecast was but you chose to stay home and play with your babies and play in the snow. The proper thing to do would have been to leave Saturday and beat the storm to make the contracted delivery appointment. Sometimes, very rarely, we as professional drivers need to make a sacrifice to fulfill our contracted obligations. Be safe.
Gotta lift or clean the hood before leaving to make it look like you did a pti
make sure your using winterized diesel in these colder states if not that fuel will freeze and look like snot !!
Good Lord. You all have more snow down there in SC than mid-Wisconsin here. God bless and be safe! And boys, enjoy the snow!!
If I only had to deal that much snow on a daily basis, I would feel like it was a spring day
You mentioned you were going to clean the snow off of your hood before getting on the highway but engine heat took care of it for you. Do you clean the snow and ice off of your trailer before getting on the highway? It’s pretty scary when a huge chunk of snow/ice flies off of a trailer headed for your car.
@@YesItsNotMe they make snow rakes for trailer roofs lol but didnt look like he had one.
Beautiful scenery 👌. Glad to see you back trucking again. Stay safe my friend. God bless you. 🙏
Here in Iowa we had no snow on MLK day, and last night we got a skiff of snow, even our city plows didn't get out to clean it up. Looks like Simpsonville has more than we do.
T&Ps for the rest of the journey see you tomorrow stay safe out there!!!! Hopefully you’ll be able to get a good load for the ride home!!!!!
Glad you are all safe. Absolutely loved the drone footage. Prayers for you and yours 🙏. Stay safe out there.
That little bit of snow was now reason to stay home. The race truck would have done just fine. No need to lock in the rear end for such little snow. You Carolina boys.... 🤣🤣🤣❄️
Thank you Justin, I asked for more drone footage and you delivered sir. Beautiful footage of the snow on the mountains just on the other side from me here in Tennessee. Keep it between the lines my friend and see you on the next one.
Old school trick for un-sticking a tractor is sprinkling kitty litter in the treads and on the ice in front of the tires. That will give you a little traction and once you have some forward motion inertia will keep you going.
Those Ray Ban glasses are amazing! I need to look into getting a pair. 70 deg in Goodyear,AZ, Keep the rubber side down. Safe travels and may God be with you always!
The Rayban footage is pretty cool, love the drone what a site to see with that bad boy. Only 39 tonight her in Florida, no snow as far as I know. We did have tornados while the northern south had snowmageddon. Safe travels and hopefully Indianapolis treats you well. One day I will travel again, although not a trucker, my dad was 30 years after retiring from the Air Force so I got to do some traveling coast to coast in a semi and abroad via the Air Force. PS Loved the other channel watching the fam play in the snow, and that snowman was the best. 🙂
Everything is messed up from this storm. The COSTCO in Mount Pleasant has no baked chickens as they have no chickens to bake.
It is good to see your drone up and flying again, Justin
Thank you and God bless you all. The drone footage was awesome.
Always enjoy the drone footage, thanks for sharing Sir! The RayBan view is pretty cool. almost cannot tell any difference. Good stuff 👍👍
Hey Justin! Hope your having a safe & warm return from Indiana.. windy & cold at the jersey shore tonight. Hanging at home with my lady waiting for the next video to pop up. Safe travels & God bless..
love seeing the mountains covered in snow. great drone shots
Love the sights thru Rayban. Easier to see. Lol. Be safe out there. I luv ridin along with you. Reminds me of my days with my trucker husband.
Dude those straight pipes are sounding SAWEEET rolling through the mountain, love the low growl as it lugs down a little just before shifting!
Love it, typical Kid just hanging out don't care about missing socks or anything else.
I had to stop in Blacksburg because of HOS and woke up to a winter wonder land. LOL. Didn't expect that in S.C. Be safe out there !
Hey Justin. How did you deal with the snow on the roof of your trailer?
Hope your trip to indianapolis is a safe one. weather here is good Justin. safe travels wish i could meet up with you and say hello! Thoughts and prayers and safe journey to you. Love the channel and hype your coming to my home town today!
It’s a little teeny tiny bit of snow I live in Alaska and this just cracks me up people in southern states who can’t handle one or 2 inches of snow my God
Just got back from Kentucky dealing with the snow ice and rain.
Good run.
That KW suspension that you have is good on-road and off-road, I don't know about in the ice
Yes those solar panels are still pulling juice! They pull even at night.
God bless you. Enjoyed the video, with the beautiful scenery 😀
Bit of Snow up there Justin take care Buddy all the way from manchester UK
We had 12-24" of snow from this storm in NE OH. Supposed to be 2F on Friday...
I’ve been watching you for a while now and I love your W 900 keep trucking brother keep trucking
White water rafting, heck yeah!!! Im from sweden and was over on vacation to see some friends in Charlotte area and we did that and i loved the rafting center!!
My son works for the city of Greenville and he was out plowing the roads . He called me and told me he was plowing Wade Hampton Blvd. the city part. Salt trucks were spreading salt and sand after him.
Awesome 😎 thank you
Made it all the way to Fairfield Maine yesterday about 10am before the weather shut me down. Doing a 34hr and then 200 more miles north to deliver ; )
Put 91% isopropyl alcohol in the washer fluid container for melting the ice on the windshield.
That call center for Spectrum is the SC department of my office in Louisville, KY. Didn't realize they were that close to you! You just passed through my neck of the woods in Jeffersonville, IN on your way to Indy.
Justin makes me laugh a little what you guys call snow. I truck in the northern rocky mountains. We have ice and a crap load of snow for 5 months. We all carry chains. If you want fun in the winter come truck with me. LOL great videos and a awesome channel.
Some people usually have salt spreaders in their truck to help out with a plow on the front and it's quite kind of them to do that.
Born & raised in Southern Iowa...
What you drove through would be a light dusting here
We got a lot of snow here in Griffin, but nothing at all stuck. Which is how I'd like to have it!
I got lucky here in Michigan we didn't get any of that storm that literally went around us but we've had snow on the ground since New Year's Day
Hey Justin, I was practically in your front yard yesterday. We came up from Columbia to see the snow. We were at the DMV in Simpsonville and the Circle K beside it. We went over to the Simpsonville city Park.
That’s down the street 😎🤘🏽
I enjoy these vids, Pur snow storms are a little more up here in Canada some days in Jan -45 snow can be upwards of 3' at a time last year in the North total snow fall was 6.5 feet LOL
Seven inches just south of Nashville off I-65. Main roads got cleared up relatively quick.
Great views of the snow cover. Makes me miss NH even more.
Great content. Keep doing your thing.
Thanks for this video. I grew up near that Corbin exit. Great Place with Great People.
Justin been watching you're channel for 3 years now you sure have come a long way safe travels young man🙏
Appreciated SAM ♥️🙏🏽
Run the Gorge all the time, my usual stopping is the 440 truckstoo at the 440 exit. Easy to remember, lol
Like the raybans! Drone footage is excellent, it really sets your content apart from most others. I’m in northeast Ohio where we received a foot of the white stuff. Back on the road tomorrow though. Stay safe Justin!
So weird seeing snow at your place! I swear we were just cruising around on the golf cart sweating 🏀’s 😎
Right 😁🤘🏽
Make sure you have cans of de-icer on the truck that helps so your brakes don’t freeze up.
You’re seeing more snow than we have in Michigan, you can keep it. We did have some black ice yesterday
Fantastic microphone. Been watching his videos with headphones on. Sounds like I'm in the cab.
Stay safe out there on those roads.
Getting new tires put on a friend's car and watchen Justin do some trucking! Be safe & God Bless.
Drive safe in that snow if your not seasoned ice snow driver. Good to see the W9 working for ya.
I'm used to that weather living in NE ohio. Sadly our roads look like that even with plow trucks throwing salt haha We just got 16 inches Sunday into Monday and finally the main roads are clear but everywhere else looks like the roads you're on off the Interstate lol
That's alot of snow please be safe. Love ur video up the amazing job. I like the glasses
lov you guys down south that dont drive in the snow. using a power divider in 4 inches of snow. Up in minnesota thats just rear will drive in the f350 ford crew cab. Dont use 4 wheel unless you need to.
I love the Ray ban. View very clear looks like keep rollin stay safe god bless y'all
That's funny to see you getting more snow down there than I'm getting in Indiana. Lol
The drone shots are awesome. Good job.
I like the shots with the sunglasses and the drone, too.
I know the minute you said when you was planning to haed out. You was not going to make. You get a wet snow in the south as soon as some one drives on it it's now packed snow /ice and the plows can't get under that to clean off the road way. I have been stuck in TN and KY many times.
I was there bout 3 hrs before you same day... just misses ya....ran out of tellico plains TN.. to dayton ohio... always stop at the 29 pilot to refresh...
I shut down i. Charlotte for the weekend. Stocked up a
On food and drink and just waited it out. 77 in WV was atill snowing so i opted for the long way around to muncie IN
Hey Justin, I have been riding with you since you left home, across I-40, up to Lexington. I don't like 40 in a car , let alone a semi. In the past, it was quite dangerous. i suspect you made it thru Cincinnati, my home town, today the 18th. Thanks for the drone footage. It was a beautiful sight! Catch you tomorrow the 18th.
You need to snow brush my friend. I'm from Canada LOL
I’ve taken that trip a lot of times on 75 North. Indy is a great city.
Keep on trucking bro... great driving.
Nice sharing... stay safe.
beautiful trees snow top mountains is why I live in Vermont ! Enjoy be safe J .
Beautiful drone footage of snowy landscape
Hey Justin, was 28f this morning here in the mother land, keep safe an keep her lit 🔥 mate 👍 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
Awesome 😎 🤘🏽
I know exactly where that Sphinx is in Traveler's Rest. I stop there often myself for a bathroom break when I'm traveling to SC to pick up my kids or take them back. That Dunkin' beside of them closes early on Sunday's now so no coffee and doughnut on the way home on Sunday evenings. LOL!
Hey love the videos, but noticed your lifted pickup doesn't have head rest in it, if thats temporary for filming disregard the following. I work as a medic and have seen how important they are to keeping you from snapping/breaking/cracking vertebrae and preventing sever whiplash. They really should never be removed, again love the videos, you've some how got me watching OTR trucking, which i never thought i would say. Just want you and the fam to be safe.
Thank You Rollover appreciate it 😎🙏🏽
It's crazy that you have a ton more snow than we do in Wisconsin.
Great drone footage. RayBan vision is dope, love the content
Welcome back to KY, hope it treats ye well
Where im at in Indiana we got a very small snow fall.. drive safe
I just got to my drop in Plano Illinois. I went to Nashville Saturday and delivered some de icer then turned around went back to keokuk iowa and then left Sunday night for canton ohio and hit the storm around Cleveland
24:24 amazing. I love the eastern part of Tennessee
Hey brother y'all are not ready for snow down there, that's a shame because up here in NJ, Delaware, area we got a foot or more. Be safe out there my friend. Oh btw fridge cold also
Be safe traveling Justin and God bless 🙏
Be careful out there brother, thinking of all my truck drivin brothers and sisters. I've lost several friends this year for one reason or another.
Yeah i shutdown in shelby,nc when it started snowing was able get my load today heading to utah when you made video for today look like you were a couple hr ahead me you be safe out I'll you on flip side
Peace out bro be safe. Can't wait to start my journey in this truck world
Still trying to figure out how to throw my computer youtube to the TV, lol. Just accidently found you trucking down the road this morning.
