I am originally from India, but I am currently studying in Canada. One thing I truly appreciate about Canada is how safe it is, particularly for women. At my college, there are security cameras installed in every corner, and the security system is incredibly robust, even during the daytime. There are alarmed doors with strict time controls; if anyone tries to open a door outside of these hours, alarms are triggered, and the police arrive within 5-10 minutes, even if it's just for a door being opened. I wish we had a similar system in India to ensure the safety of women. Here in Canada, I work part-time and often come home alone after midnight, but I have never felt unsafe. The security measures in place give me peace of mind and a strong sense of safety that I believe every woman should experience, no matter where they are……. Hope she will get justice and may change in our system so that this will never ever happen again

This toxic environment is in every department of almost every medical college..drs work like laborer..they struggle even for breakfast lunch and dinner..sleep habits of drs are really grossly affected but no college authority pays attention on this. This is my personal experience.. Patients and their relative these people have no patience and become angry for simple reason they don't see drs pain and heavy work load .

I got shocked when I heard that 36 hours. My blood boils. I’m in Vancouver working as a nurse mostly we have 12 hours shift and well paid breaks. Patients and guests cannot enter the staff room, conference room and all other zones except wards and rooms due to fob and ID card system. Even staff washrooms are locked. But 36 hour is inhumane. Can’t even think about it. How is it possible? I’m surprised how they don’t even pointing fingers on 36 hour shift 😢.

Male doctors are not going to do night duty on all days, so that female doctors can just sit at home every night and collect the same salary. I got shocked when I heard that 36 hours. My blood boils. I’m in Vancouver working as a nurse mostly we have 12 hours shift and well paid breaks. Patients and guests cannot enter the staff room, conference room and all other zones except wards and rooms due to fob and ID card system. Even staff washrooms are locked.
But 36 hour is inhumane. Can’t even think about it. How is it possible?

Male doctors are not going to do night duty on all days, so that female doctors can just sit at home every night and collect the same salary. Or the hospital will have to give extra salary for doing night duty.. So, what is going to happen is that the hospitals will reduce the salary of female doctors and give more salary to Male doctors..
