Half acre is enough production for 2 of us ... but we have 3 of them and rotate. (1) Cover crop. (2) Animal Food Plot (a second year of cover that is harvested for feed) (3) The Family Plot. Where the Annuals Production happens. Production for The Dinner Table hits only one year out of three on any given plot.
Very impressive my friends. I'm on 1.5 acres property. So maybe 1/4 for production, so around 1/3 of an acre. I did around 450lbs, including the rabbits. And you do 1450lbs of fruits and veggies only on 1/8 of an acre. Respect!
Gardening is like snow flakes. Everyone has there own style and conditions which are different hence no two are the same. Your working together as a couple is one of biggest assets.
Great tour of your garden. You guys get a lot of food from that much space so far. Nice! Because we sell veggies all summer we gave up weighing, maybe I should try to weigh what we use personally next year. Take care! Annette 🌺
I grew 811 pounds of produce in 850 sq. ft. this year. I compared what I grew to Walmart organic grocery prices, and it would have cost me over $3600!!
Thank you!! From Baudette Minnesota USA ❤
Good to see guys ❤❤❤❤❤
You still have your sorghum and sunchokes to add for Final total.
The other thing you collect a lot of seeds from your property.

I track all my harvest weights also. This year was my best year yet at 1244 pounds! Tomato weights came in first with zucchini weights second.
